My wife and I started with the gyoza, which were perfectly crisp and flavorful. They were a great way to kick off the meal. For our main dish, we both ordered the Tajima Red Ramen, and it did not disappoint. The broth had just the right amount of spice, rich and well-balanced. I added a noodle refill because I couldn’t get enough.
Honestly, this was the best ramen I’ve had outside of Japan. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. The atmosphere was also fantastic with great music that added to the experience without being too loud.
If you’re in Maui and craving authentic, flavorful ramen, Tajima should be at the top of your list.
I would love to revisit Maui just to eat once more here! The decor and service is great too.
I had their white ramen and black ramen. Both were good, but I think the white ramen is better.
I also had their edamame, vegetarian gyoza, chicken fried rice, and pork fried rice. And all of these were okay. If these were better, I would’ve given the restaurant five stars.
The atmosphere also has a touch of coolness to it. The restaurant is decorated with anime figures at the front, and cartoons and sports are playing on TVs at the front as well. Alongside the rest of the restaurant design, overall, it gives off a cool vibe.
Broth is ok
Probably instant ones are better if they don’t stir the ramen and let them stick together
The only up side is they are open are 8
The place is clean, cold and there’s tons of parking which is always a win. The staff were super friendly and helpful with all our questions. Definitely coming back!
