This was not far from Martin Luther King site. We ordered the fried fish, wings, Mac n cheese which was delicious, oxtail, pinto beans greens, yams, rice, peach cobbler. And I will say everything was tasty. The fish and wings are fried to order so you get it nice and hot. Dont expect a fancy place. This is a hole in the wall place serving some good old southern food. The peach cobbler was memorable. It was hands down delicious. The best Mac n cheese, creamy and well seasoned. I would definitely go there again. Plenty of parking and 2 seater tables.

Family owned delicious soul food. Stopped by for breakfast and was not disappointed. The whiting was DELICIOUSLY seasoned, crispy and hot. Come support this neighborhood gem. Granddaughter is making Mama Jackson proud! You see those homemade “hand patted” biscuits!?! *THIS* is Southern traditional cooking!

Definitely one of the best soul food places I’ve ever eaten at not just in Georgia, but in the entire United States!!!!!!
Just know that you have never eaten real soul food unless you visit this restaurant. The best of the best.
I ordered the mac n cheese, green beans and fried whiting w/ cornbread. I chose the banana pudding for dessert.
10/10 I RECOMMEND!

Food salt, 3 out 10. Two plates. Meat salt. Side reasonably but not your grandma’s place. Catfish nuggets, tails just tails. Not worth $45 or more dollars. Trouble first time in ATL. Bad, bad started.

Stumbled upon this restaurant for lunch and enjoyed every bite! The customer service was top notch and the food was excellent. I couldn’t leave without peach cobbler and that was delicious as well. Definitely will be back.

My opinion the food was okay. The Black Eyed Peas wasn’t seasoned and are from a can, as well as the yams. The greens are a no for me, no favor. The ribs not good, my mom said they was boiled. The meatloaf was okay and the cornbread muffin was Dry. Overall for me, a person who knows soul food they get a 4.0.

Visiting ATL from DC…The food was really good. I appreciate the fact that they fry fried foods to order, so my wings and whiting were piping hot. The mac and cheese and greens were very good, however, my son said the sweet potato casserole was too sweet and neither of us liked the cornbread (it was very dry). It’s a small business but the service was great. The staff was nice and professional. The establishment only had 6-7 two seater tables, but I think most people carryout and the restaurant was clean. It was a tad on the expensive side, but it’s a small business and we wanted to support them.

This is a family owned restaurant with authentic soul food. I’ve been looking for good oxtail for a long time. This was perfectly tender, perfectly seasoned, with a large serving of grits. Absolutely mouth watering and probably the best I’ve ever had. We also had the fish shrimp and grits and meatloaf which were equally amazing. I’m not a huge fan of collard greens but this was by far the best I’ve had anywhere. It had me going back for more! Don’t miss out on this hidden gem.
