At 12:30 PM, one of the lunch buffet items was starting to dry out. All buffets suffer the issue of overcooking the food while keeping it warm. If this is a concern, order from the menu.
For a buffet, the service was OK. There was one person for waiting and cashing out.
Good seating. Extremely friendly and kind staff. Only comment of criticism is the bathroom… please do a renovation. It retracts from the quality of the experience.
The service is really great and they’re intentional about creating a high quality feeling in the atmosphere. The food was incredible and great value (we all had leftovers after). Each item we ordered was very flavorful with good variety. Another positive note was the personal touch. Our waiter was intentional to make sure we were enjoying our meal.
Overall it was a special night and made all the better by Taj Fine Indian Cuisine.
They handed us a full drink menu, only to tell us none of the drinks were available. Not one. The only options were wine or beer, and for non-alcoholic drinks they had lime juice or a mango yogurt-type drink. No sodas, no juices, nothing else.
The restaurant itself really needs an update. The chair I was sitting in had old food stains that clearly hadn’t been wiped down. It just gave the impression that cleaning and upkeep weren’t priorities.
Overall, I can’t see myself returning to dine in. The food was good, but the service and atmosphere were not it. However, I might consider ordering for delivery, because the flavors were the only saving grace here.
I got a good review to try this restaurant. So yesterday I went to this restaurant and ordered “Malai Kofta” and “Shahi Paneer” with Malabar Parotta.
To my surprise they made both the curries look-alike (no difference except for kofta and paneer!!!!!). And it was prepared with extreme sweetness and raisins I thought after some bites it will worn off thinking it might have green chillies. But it was simply tasted like payasam and couldn’t eat more than 2 spoons.
When I gave the review, they told it is because they have more American customers and suggested me to not waste the food and take it to home and try to modify. But to be frank, it can’t be modified even if I try to. Because it was prepared like a milkshake with extreme sugar.
And even after our compliant, they charged me for both the curries. It’s my last visit to TAJ !!!!!!
DISAPPOINTMENT PRO MAXXXXX.
Their curries are equally impressive. Rich, aromatic, and packed with layers of spice and flavor that keep me craving more. I also have to give a shoutout to the desserts. The beetroot halwa was surprisingly delightful, with an earthy sweetness that’s both unique and satisfying. And the frozen mango dessert? Absolutely delicious. The cashews add the perfect crunch and pair beautifully with the creamy mango.
On top of all that, the service is always impeccable. Warm, attentive, and welcoming. As long as Taj is around, I’ll be a regular. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and give them a try. You’re going to love it.
This is highly recommended and look forward to future visits :).
