The Indian food I’d tried before was too curry-heavy for my taste, so I’d pretty much given up on it—until I interviewed the owner of Taj Palace Indian Cuisine in Warrenton for the paper. I got to sample some amazing drinks (the best chai tea I’ve ever had and a mango lassi, a whipped mango-and-yogurt drink) plus dishes like vegetable pakora, cauliflower manchurian, chicken malai tikka, Taj butter chicken, shahi paneer, and naan. Everything was fabulous—highly recommend!

I initially gave 1 star due to a concern I had. However, I was really impressed by how the team responded. When my partner later called to place an order, they took the time to explain why I received only 1/4 of a samosa in my samosa chaat. Because of their responsiveness and willingness to explain, I’m updating my review to 4 stars. I value customer service and this restaurant treats their customers with utmost respect, they proved it today. Thank You for that.

An amazing hidden secret! The food had so much flavor and the naan bread was delightful. This is the first time in this town and Taj Palace is the first place I selected to have dinner here and the service was personal, kind, and warm. Highly recommend.
Had the Lamb Korma and Pickled Peanuts, I loved it!

Our family recently had the pleasure of dining at Taj Palace Indian Cuisine, and it was nothing short of amazing! This was our first experience with Indian cuisine, and we were thrilled with the delightful flavors and welcoming atmosphere.
From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home. Terry, in particular, was incredibly helpful and guided us through the menu. Her recommendations were spot on and allowed us to explore a variety of dishes. We all left happy and FULL!

23 Oct 2022: solo dinner on the way back from Shenandoah as I craved Indian food after 2 days of intense hiking ($60). Ordered guava juice, tequila, grenadine based drink, which was soon accompanied with fried papad/chutney. Next, lassi and rum based drink. Both were good. For appetizers came gobhi manchurian, pretty good. For entree ordered Nepali aaloo gobhi. Everything was nice. The interiors are good for dining in. Had a nice conversation with Prakash. Pleasant experience.
Recommendation: yes!

Some of the BEST Indian cuisine I’ve ever had. The staff was very nice and very attentive. The food was hot, fresh, and DELICIOUS! Sitting outside on their patio and enjoying some fresh air was also a great experience. It was well worth the 1.5 hour drive for dinner. I plan to go back again next time I’m out in the DMV area!

We ordered cauliflower manchurian in starters and paneer makhani and garlic naan for to go. Everything tasted great but naan was very thick. So many good vegitarian options are there

Every time we come to this area we will order take out from this restaurant!! The food is amazing, and very rich in taste. We have never dined here in person before, but from what we can tell this is a very nice, casual restaurant with a great, inviting atmosphere.
We often get the following dishes:
– 2 Butter chicken (mild)
– 1 Saag paneer (mild)
– 1 Chicken vindaloo (spicy)
– 1 Chana masala (mild)
– 2 Garlic naan
– 1 Raita
– 1 Mango lassi
Which comes out to $100
Price is worth it because the quality and taste of their food is excellent!!
