Wonder quality of food I had here. My favourite chilli paneer and garlic naan. Both taste amazing but make sure you let them know the spice level. Restaurant staff is very humble also. Definitely recommend this place. Only street parking is available but check the hours before parking

I had an amazing experience at Taj Eatery and really enjoyed the variety of food I tried. The chicken biryani was aromatic and full of rich spices, with perfectly cooked rice and tender chicken. The goat curry was especially impressive, as the meat was soft, flavorful, and cooked in a thick, well-balanced gravy. The combo veg Manchurian had a great mix of vegetables, crispy texture, and a tasty Indo-Chinese sauce that was not too oily. The chana bhatura was excellent, with spicy and well-cooked chickpeas paired with soft, fluffy bhaturas that tasted fresh. The noodles were also very good—well-seasoned, not greasy, and cooked just right. Overall, every dish had great taste and quality, making it a truly satisfying and memorable dining experience. I would definitely visit Taj Eatery again and highly recommend it to others.

There are many Indian curry restaurants in Woodstock, but this is the only one I truly return to again and again. I honestly don’t repeat any other Indian restaurant here—and that says everything.
The food is always made with such care and attention. No matter when I visit, the taste is consistently excellent, with no variation at all. Every dish is reliably and undeniably delicious. You can truly feel how thoughtfully each meal is prepared.
The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even more special. No matter who is cooking, the food is always amazing—every single time. And on top of that, the prices are very reasonable.
The portions are generous, and I leave completely satisfied every time. With food this delicious, consistent, and made with such heart, there’s simply no reason not to come back again and again.

I had a really great experience at Taj Eatery. I tried the chicken biryani, goat curry, combo veg Manchurian, chana bhatura, and noodles, and everything was absolutely delicious. Great experience every time. This was my fourth visit and I’ve tried appetizers, main courses, and sides everything has been consistently excellent. I love that they serve complimentary papad with fresh chutney every time. The food is fresh, authentic, and full of flavour. You can tell care goes into what they serve.

We have grabbed takeout from Empress a few times and I must say that it is a work of art. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, all the right Indian herbs and spices, exceptional presentation even for takeout – you can tell the owner and their cooks really take pride in what they do. It’s a treat to eat here and you MUST GIVE THEM A TRY. This past weekend we got a biryani, a goat curry — the meat was so tender in both with amazing flavours throughout. The butter chicken was also really good — rich and sultry sauce. The samosas generously large and great taste throughout. The naan bread — It’s crispy, fluffy and airy all at the same time. I’ve eaten at many Indian restaurants and this one ranks high, and definitely the best in Woodstock ! We will be back for sure, and please if you see my name – recommend some things to try !
