We went to Taaj Chaat House on a weekday, and it was a great experience. The place is really spacious, and they even have a small party/private room. I think it’s one of the best North Indian spots I’ve tried around here. Since the restaurant is pretty new, we didn’t have any expectations, but it totally exceeded them. We ordered the Veg Kathi Roll, Paneer Kathi Roll, Paav Bhaaji, Cheese Pizza from the kids’ menu, and Chana Puri. Everything tasted amazing. We’ll definitely go back. This place is worth a try!

We ordered Samosas, samosa chaat, aloo tikki, & chicken khati roll. Samosa chat was really good and tasted fresh. Aloo tiki was good but seemed pretty expensive for two tiny aloo tikki. Chicken khati roll wasn’t very good. Naan wasn’t thick enough and there wasn’t much flavor in the chicken kabab. Chicken roll got so soggy that we couldn’t even eat the naan

The restaurant was better than I expected when I walked in. The food was decent. The sitting area was large. We had the two entree lunch deal. The food is pre-prepared kind of like you would see at a buffet restaurant and you get to pick from several dishes. It’s not all you can eat, so choose wisely. They also give you rice and one naan bread. We got soda, but they don’t have a self serve fountain and the downside is they limit you to only one refill. With the spicy food, I could have used more than one.

Tucked away in East Simi Valley, Taj Chaat House is a gem for quick Indian culinary excursions. It’s not your usual Punjabi dhaba; imagine instead a delightful detour through an Indian food court, light and easy on the palate. The offerings here are pleasantly good, especially notable for their lightness and lack of greasiness, making each dish a guilt-free indulgence. And oh, the Ras Malai! It’s a standout, capturing the essence of sweetness and softness in every bite – a creamy delight that promises a perfect end to your meal. With decent prices, spotless surroundings, and friendly service, plus hassle-free parking right next door, this place is a no-brainer for those seeking flavor without the fuss. The Ras Malai alone is worth the trip, making Taj Chaat House a must-visit for a quick, satisfying taste of India. I’m already planning my next visit for more of those quick, delicious bites – and, of course, another serving of their pretty good Ras Malai.

I ordered take out for the first time here. I ordered chicken makhani (butter chicken) and it was so delicious. I’ve tried many places trying to find the best butter chicken and THIS place is it!!!! The flavoring exceeds all other places. I highly recommend!! And I will be ordering again!

I ordered the Paneer Kathi Roll and Malai Kofta and was extremely disappointed. The Kathi Roll was nowhere near authentic; it was filled with ketchup and a few random vegetables, tasting more like a cheap snack than a proper roll. The Malai Kofta, Koft being too soft, came with an unpleasantly tangy gravy that completely overpowered the dish. Prices were unreasonably high compared to similar restaurants, and the service was painfully slow, making the whole experience frustrating. Overall, this was one of the most unsatisfying meals I’ve had in a long time.

This was the first day i went to order something there. And i ordered the vegetable korma. It was delicious. I was always hesitant to find any indian restaurant but i definitely recommend this one. The attendant was knowledgeable and good in advising me in the best choice of meal health versus unhealthy. Of course i picked the unhealthy one and i am happy about it.

We had a great meal. Food was authentic and service was friendly. Ordered a couple curry dishes, rice, and naan. We also ordered spinach chaat on recommendation and it was our first time having it and we enjoyed it a lot. Portions were big, we came home with lots of leftovers. We actually prefer self service water and especially glad to see that it was filtered water.
