I’ve had Taiyo food a few times now. This is the 3rd time I dined in and the 4th time I’ve eaten their food. It’s fresh and delicious every time, and the service is beyond excellent! Pictured here is the Tsunami roll, and it is just the right amount of spice and flavor, perfect for someone who wants just enough spice to NOT leave your lips on fire! Their miss soup is authentic and delicious as well! Top notch presentation, service, and food quality! What a gem on Port Lavaca, of all places!

Absolutely delicious… Best rolls I’ve had since Miso Sushi in Lancaster, Ca. Only issue is they didnt give me any pickled ginger and I did take out. Will check before leaving next time.

We went today and tried their crawfish. They flavor was pretty good their tayo special. The only thing that ruined our meal was the server. I informed my dad prior that I had cash for the tip so he only left 10 on card. The checking out process is through the electronic ones. So the server automatically saw the tip and thew my dads card on the table. She walked to her coworker and shakes her head. I believe her name was jenny. It overall left a sour taste in my mouth and felt very disrespectful.

Restaurant has a variety of sushi, delicious appetizers like eggrolls and fried gyoza, and amazing soups. The Pho and Ramen were amazing, some of my new favorites. Chill atmosphere and good service. Definitely visiting again.

I love this place. I’m typically not a fan of egg rolls, but I could eat Taiyo’s egg rolls all day. Their sushi is really good, but if you have an appetite, try the lo mein. The servings are huge. Their pad thai is also really good.

Delicious sushi options. Hibachi food without the wait for a chef and full table. Excellent noodles. Ramen is amazing. Hot pot is great. Staff is attentive and friendly. Try the mochi ice cream for dessert, several flavors to choose from.
