A friend recommended this sushi place, which also serves Chinese dishes. The restaurant is small, but the moment you walk in, the space feels elegant and very clean. I sat at the sushi bar and tried several dishes my friend suggested.
The starter salad and soup came together — the broth was clear but packed with rich umami flavor. The chef’s special fired sweet potato cake was crispy on the outside and pleasantly sweet inside without being heavy.
My favorite was the thick-cut sashimi — fresh, firm, and satisfying. I’m not a big sushi fan, but the two sushi rolls I tried genuinely surprised me. You could clearly taste the difference between the eel and shrimp, and the balance with the other ingredients was spot on. The crispy fried topping added both crunch and aroma, giving the sushi a mix of crispness and tenderness.
We finished with my friend’s beef fried rice. The grains were soft yet separated, not greasy at all.
Overall, it was a great dining experience — definitely worth recommending

This is our favorite Sushi place in the entire National Capital Region. The food is great, prices reasonable, and service is fast and reliable. Our favorite rolls are Backlick, Mango, Rock and Roll, and Shrimp Tempura. The ramen is also fantastic. Thank you.

We stumbled upon Taiko Sushi by accident and it was amazing! The atmosphere is very relaxed and cozy and the staff is very helpful! There were a ton of options and everything was reasonably priced! Their goyza was some of the best we have had in this area! Taiko is a must visit when in the area!

My friend and I went here on a Sunday midday and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, and had wonderful presentation. The spicy tuna and sweetie rolls were great! The appetizers (ginger salad and miso soup were yummy) and had a wonderful green tea ice cream dessert. The service was attentive and very kind. Will definitely be going back again. Highly recommend!

Taiko is by far the best sushi restaurant I have been to in Northern VA.
The service was beyond top notch and the sushi was incredible. I got Fatty Tuna, Fatty Salmon, spicy tuna rolls, eel, pork katsu and rock shrimp. Every piece was amazing and I will be back.
The aesthetic and ambiance was very nice. Love the cherry blossom them and their attention to detail. Like out each dish had a unique plate.
At the end we had an incredible desert that had two different mochis, Japanese cheesecake and a sort of coffee tiramisu cake. Each dessert was delicious.
We also made sure to leave with a Thai Iced Tea
Cindy was our server and she is the best.
If you haven’t been here yet, you must visit. Very unassuming from the outside but well worth a trip.

Visited for the first time to pick up sushi for my son on New Year’s Eve, and staff were so nice. Had a little something going on that night and the gentleman asked me if I was okay, gave me candy, then there was cheese cake and sashimi in my bag that I didn’t order with a hand written note that said Happy New Year. They all said happy New Year before I left as well. Very sweet and generous staff, and the sushi was fresh and delicious. I’ll definitely be back.

I went here for my birthday for the first time. I ordered the unagi don that was very delicious honestly 10/10. My family told our waitress it was my birthday and they gave me this adorable balloon rose, along with 2 slices of cake( one small cheesecake slice with yuzu, and a chocolate chestnut cake).
The cheesecake was lovely and I’m sure the chocolate one was too but I refrained since I’m allergic to tree nuts. The presentation of the dishes looked elegant and the food came out at a good time. Even if it took more time I wouldn’t mind since all the food was delicious. We came in around 2 and it was somewhat empty which I appreciated. The staff was very kind and gave us a complimentary appetizer of sweet potato tempura.

My wife and I came here for the first time on a Saturday during lunch. We both ordered the sushi lunch special which is an amazing deal. For $17.50 you can choose 3 different sushi rolls and the special also comes with miso soup and a salad. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll, chicken tempura roll, and the spicy blue crab crunch roll. All of the sushi was so delicious and very filling. To get all of this for only $17.50 is an absolute steal! We will definitely be back!

This was an incredible find. High quality, reasonable prices, incredibly hospitable staff, and very good service. Very helpful and understanding with kids (especially when they spilled miso on themselves – the staff were on it in a heartbeat)! I wish we lived closer as this would be our weekly go-to. And if they have it when you visit, get the Otoro (fatty tuna)… It’s magical and worth every penny.
