Tahosa Coffee House

Tahosa Coffee House gets its name from where it resides – within the Tahosa Valley. “Tahosa” is an American Indian word meaning “Dwellers of the Mountain Tops” – a fitting name for the surrounding terrain and its mountain-loving inhabitants. Camp St. Malo, the property upon which TCH is situated, is frequently visited by travelers, tourists, and pilgrims. The mission of Tahosa Coffee House is to invite our guests from all across the country and world to take a step back from the noise, encounter a friendly face who will provide a delicious drink, and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings without the usual distractions. So, even if you’re just passing through, we invite you to take some time to simply dwell with us.

Small coffee shop next to St. Catherine’s chapel. A 2 minute walk from the chapel. This very nice coffee shop has great coffee shops and pastries. The shop I built similar to the chapel and has a great patio. A gift shop is in the same building and the bride sitting room has the walking stick that was made for John Paul ll when he visited. Great staff all around.

Tahosa Coffee House is a perfect complement to a visit to Chapel on the Rock. It is located in an old stone storage building on the Camp St. Malo grounds. The atmosphere is nature friendly and focused on conservation. Inside, there is a large world map where you can pin your country or city with a pushpin, which is a lot of fun! The menu is quite good and the coffee is fresh.

What a find! Located behind St. Catherine’s Chapel on Route 7. The atmosphere is lovely and staff is warm and friendly. It is a very relaxing location to chat with friends about the days’ hike, catch up with friends or sit outside on the large patio with an OZO latte and take in the mountain air.

Beautiful property w nice lil brook babbling through.

No wifi but plenty of genuine conversation.

Nice quiet parking lot to have a toke or a smoke while you take in the mountain vistas.

Not sure what Tahosa means I think its an Indian word.

My family & I visit St Catherine’s every time we come to Allenspark (at least once a year), so we come to Tahosa’s often as well! The coffee and pastries are great and the baristas are always really nice as well. The atmosphere is chill and quiet, there is a really cute map that you can put a pin wherever in the world you are from! It’s really cool to see how many people all over the world travel to Allenspark.

A nice respite after touring the chapel. The pastries and coffee are delicious and the scenery is of course beautiful. They have a very nice gift shop as well and a substantial bridal preparation room for those interested in getting married at the chapel. There is a walking stick JPII used when visiting in 1993.

It’s rare that I get a coffee drink and feel the way I did about my iced raspberry dark chocolate mocha. Luxurious and silky is the best way to describe it. They had a trio of musicians playing inside and the overall vibe was amazing. We took a walk on a trail behind the coffee shop and the views were incredible. LOVE this gorgeous setting and the amazing coffee. Service was fast and great. Coming back soon.

Amazing little coffee place by st. Catherine’s on the rock. It’s tucked back from the road/behind the church. The coffee shop itself is adorable, there was live music AND as a magical bonus there was a bull moose just hanging out in the thicket across from the shop! My kids had hot cocoa which they said was delish, as I didn’t even get a sample before they finished them. It’s ok, I ordered a featured flavor, I believe it was “solar flare”? Regardless, I will be chasing the dragon of this drink for the rest of time. It was orange/milk chocolate latte and legitimately the best coffee drink I’ve ever had. Ever. Hands down. Bees knees. Between the ambiance of the shop, the views, the moose and this drink it was a lovely experience I don’t think can be topped for a coffee house. Please stop and enjoy!

They serve all organic coffee! Very nice coffee shop. Unfortunately the drip coffee I got was just warm and not hot. But it was still good and I was grateful that they serve organic coffee. Tons of seating both indoors and outdoors. Looks like they have a fire pit at times too. There’s an outdoor play area for kids.
