I’m Mexican and living in Houston downtown area, I drove 30 minutes to come here to try the “tacos de canasta” (tacos sudados).
I was truly surprised and delighted because I ate authentic, 100% Mexican tacos!
The flavor and seasoning really transported me to my Mexico City!
Also the service was EXCELLENT, attentive, friendly, and professional, especially from MISS CINTHIA.
I’ll be back very soon, of course!

Stopped in for breakfast as one of my friends recommended the menudo here. I’m still on a quest to find the best menudo in HTown. Let’s start with the positives the menudo was piping hot, the flavor was on point plenty of hominy and they bring out plenty of onion cilantro and jalapenos to add to soup. Ok now for the cons it did not have porks feet, my batch was a little overcooked the tripe was a little too gooey for my liking and the tortillas were not homemade. They are however yellow corn so there is a different flavor to them. Service is good walk in and find a spot and they will bring you a menu. Coffee is self serve and you pay at counter when you are done. I will retry this next time I’m in Pasadena. Additionally I tried the tacos al vapor and they were very salty. I tried the chicharron and the desebrada. They fell apart when you picked them up. May need to try other kinds when I come back. But worth the trip if you just want menudo.

OMG! This place is amazing hands down the best tacos I ever in Houston! It is a small place so we waited around 20 minutes for a table of 8 to be seated but well worth the wait. We tried all the tacos Al vapor, tacos de papas con huevo, jamón con huevo, chorizo huevo, gorditas de chicharrón, empalme de fajita. Everything was delicious! Will be back for sure!

First time there but a fanatic of tacos alvapor
You could get them crunchy or you could get a original. I got both. Different types of meat to choose from. I stuck with the original pork. Man those tacos I can eat 15 of them and two Coca-Cola’s.

This place is wonderful, I love coming here to eat, the best item they have is the Gorditas and the tacos al vapor, I always order gorditas from this place, in my opinion the best guiso they have is the chicharron carnudo and the papas con chorizo, their prices are affordable and the waitress are nice, I recommend coming to this place if you want to try real comida Regia.

They are similar to what you will find in Monterrey Mexico. I’ve been looking for “tacos de vapor” for years and glad I found this spot. Desebrada and papa tacos were super good and I saw others ordering chiles rellenos and I believe menudo. Tried them both al vapor and dorados-I think that’s just based off everyone’s preference. I would also order everything at once because you will wait 10 ish minutes for food when it’s not too busy.

This place is overhyped. The tacos de vapor are not good. I also tried the Gordita, tacos and tacos doraditos. Those were good but not worth the wait. They are way better places. Plus they had two tables put together that they wouldn’t separate even though they had plenty of room. I’m guessing they are too lazy to attend to an extra table. So be ready to wait for some mediocre tacos.

Me and my family wanted to try this place so we took a 40min drive from north west part of Houston. First of all 0 organization the place was full but no one telling us what to do. There was people on the small waiting area but no hostess or anything signs or instructions. We saw people getting seated and that got there after we did after going to the register and asking what was going on. They told me I need to get a buzzer and wait for it to go off to be seated. I got one and kept waiting after a told wait time of 40min and people getting seated before us again we finally gave up and left. I don’t mind waiting but the fact of the zero communication or even an estimate time to be seated was ridiculous. Never been to a place so highly recommended with this type of disorganization. I don’t know if the food was good or anything I telling my experience.
