Food trucks always seem to be hit or miss, unfortunately this was a big miss for me. For starters, the attendant stood at the window with his head down, presumably looking at his phone and did not greet us as we approached and browsed the menu. We were the only customers around. When we were ready and came all the way to the window he simply looked up without speaking.
For ~30 bucks total, I had the chicken quesadilla and my husband got 3 extremely tiny tacos. There was nothing but chicken in my hardly warm quesadilla, and I couldn’t even taste the cheese. The only redeeming item we received was the birria sauce that came with my husband’s tacos. It was super hot and flavorful, unlike the rest of our food.
We were both still hungry afterwards. For 12-14 dollars, it’s disappointing that no sides were included with our meals (and no drink). I’ll definitely be avoiding this one at future events.

Got the Torta, mediocre serving size. A sliver of a single tomato slice, barely any avocado or mayo. Mango frescas was definitely powder and not fresh. Don’t waste ur time/money

My boyfriend had an allergic reaction after eating the tacos plate with salsa. He is allergic to peanuts, so we’re confident it was the red salsa based on other reviews. There is no “contains peanuts” label anywhere on the food truck, the sauce bottle, or the website! He had to administer an epipen and we’re now sitting in the ER so he can be monitored. Just wanted to warn everyone because this is a very common allergy and it should be listed on the menu!!!

Just rating food …plain plain plain! Pastar was dry, lengua was dry overall just lacking with flavor and I’m from Cali so I know what good tacos taste like. Yes there’s hit a misses but this spot is a miss. Birria was plain, and consume is plain. For $3 a tacos for it to be this lackluster in flavor in the meat itself. Was hoping to leave NC on a good note, but nope….taco disappointed.

Ordered nachos with birria and carnitas. The carnitas was NOT what you expect (should be a pulled pork consistency). It was pretty much chicharrones which is all soft skin and fat. You’ve been warned.

Not sure where the low reviews are coming from – people must be confusing this food truck for another one. Mama Chava was *delicious*. Hearty portions, fresh, flavorful. Highly recommend. The Quesabirria and nachos were awesome.
