This is the place I’ve used as a comparison of what real, authentic carnitas and birria tacos should be. The carnitas tacos rivel some of the best I’ve tasted in Michoacán, Mexico. I don’t recommend trying other meats, although they’re good too, the carnitas (mixtas/surtidas) and birria de chivo are the best I’ve tasted anywhere in the U.S. It’s a no frills lunch truck in a somewhat rough neighborhood of Bakersfield, but it’s well worth it. I lived in LA for 6-7 years and I couldn’t find tacos that could come close to these from Los Cuñados Bakersfield (lunch truck).

Delicious food and a very good variety to choose from. Prices are really good for the food. Me and my family come here whenever we want to eat tacos, and have not been disappointed once. Definitely recommend.

We come here all the time! Love love love the food! Great salsa spread too. And the staff is always very chill, friendly and helpful. ♡ Highly recommend trying their tacos gobernador! They’re kind of like a shrimp quesadilla but aaamazing! I’ve also tried their tacos (asada is my favorite), tortas, quesadillas and horchata. I’ve liked everything I’ve tried except maybe the pork tacos but I’m just not a pork fan personally but my boyfriend liked them. Try their green salsa too. But make sure you bring cash. They are a CASH ONLY place.
