First of all, I must say that the place is very cozy. Super chill place! The owner is really nice. They have a piano in there, which is really cool and I play piano so I thought that was a really nice experience!
I had the torta with Chorizo. One of the best tortoise I’ve ever had, and berria tacos (excuse me for not saying well). Great place, service ! Food is a little pricey for me but well worth for me! The quality is 5 stars! GO HERE!!!

I ordered to go and now sitting here in front of the computer eating dinner and couldn’t wait to write a good review. The food is Awesome! I ordered the birria tacos, a beef burrito with queso and some quac and chips. Everything is Great. I am new to Durant and glad I found this place. I have tried a couple of other Mexican places here but this will be my go to, plus it’s right down the street. Try this place you won’t be disappointed.

What an awesome gem hidden in the depths of Durant. This restaurant could easily use the title “Authentic Mexican Food” and no one could dispute it. It takes an honest level of authenticity to do so and they really own it. I was blown away with the Lengua tacos. I will say that my supreme burrito, although it was big and tasty, had just a tad more beans and rice ratio to the pastor’s meat. No big deal, the reasonable prices justified the ratio difference I guess. I would prefer to pay 1.5 or 2 dollars more but have a bit more meat ratio difference from the rice and beans
The salsas were amazing especially the green salsa.
The bathrooms were acceptably clean. The walkway feels dark and being the only bathroom Unisex makes it a challenge for the female customers because Male customers pee all over the toilet seat.
The dining room ceiling needs some attention. The entire decoration around the walls, the tables, the floors look great but the ceilings are killing the atmosphere.
The service was great. There is no waitress service; which is fine. There was a guy going around cleaning tables and removing empty plates, that was good.

I ate here a long time ago an and food was good and no problem at lunch time then. Talked my wife into going here looks a little sketch from outside but it is really nice inside. Problem is there was one other customer afternoon time, and about six employees cleaning and doing things except for one lady who was talking to two customers in Spanish for about ten minutes while making eye contact with me periodically because I kept looking at her thinking she would get the hint and come take our order. Ten minutes sitting no contact at all we sat ourselves. I got up and walked out.

Definitely worth the price. The yummy smell hits you as soon as you walk in. The burrito grande was soooo good. The queso was smoothy and just a small bite of heat. The chicken enchiladas were beautifully rolled. And the rice and beans…….perfect. can not wait to return.

Omg the worst food of my life! First of all 27 minutes for one menudo. I ordered it thinking it’s something fast. I mean it’s already cooked. Specifically said no pata extra hominy. 27 minutes later, I get it to my table into my surprise two patas and zero hominy. Once I returned the plate to the counter, it took an additional 12 minutes to get another menu though in a to go container because now we’re carpooling and now we gotta go. Needless to say worst experience ever. Also zero flavor! If this is what Durant calls Mexican food then I don’t nothing to do with it.

So the style is a lot like Chipotle, where you do a meat, a style, and optional rice and beans for a small charge (as of 8/5/25 only 2.50) comes with sour cream, guac, and pico on the side. They have a lot of authentic Mexican flavors, 6 house made taco salsas, in house pickled onion and jalapeno, whole fire roasted Anaheim chilis, fresh cucumber and radish slices to cool down the heat. They have birria, carne asada and barbacoa, pastor, carnitas, lengua, tripe… your choice of burrito, torta or 3 tacos (definitely make any of these options a plate to include the rice and beans). Literally the best Mexican food I may have ever had, better than anything I’ve had in Phoenix and they are literally the same price as Mexican fast food is. It seems that they definitely take pride in their establishment and put love into the process and didn’t charge an arm and a leg for it
