Nomiya Hand Roll Bar & Izakaya is a Japanese hand roll bar and izakaya in Carrollton, TX. Not a conveyor belt spot. We serve nigiri, hand rolls, sashimi, and cold dishes, all made to order. You sit at a chef’s counter and watch it prepared fresh in front of you. The nigiri list is serious, flounder, Hokkaido scallop, bluefin tuna in three cuts, Premium Hokkaido uni, and otoro. Hand rolls are wrapped in crisp nori one at a time so they stay crunchy. Good spot for a date, a slow dinner, or solo at the bar with sake. We also carry Japanese beer and wine. Open Tue through Fri for lunch 11 AM to 2:30 PM and dinner from 5 PM. Kitchen closes at 10 PM weeknights, 10:30 PM Fri and Sat. Sunday noon to 9 PM. Closed Mondays.

Highly recommend! My family and I recently visited Nomiya and were thoroughly impressed. We loved the restaurant decor and enjoyed its intimate setting. It was great sitting at the bar because we could watch the sushi chef prepare our meal. He was very kind and friendly. Everything we ate was delicious and had the perfect ratio of seasoning, fish, and rice. We ordered hand rolls, nigiri, and cold dishes. The fish was very fresh and the overall quality was great. We had an amazing time and are looking forward to our next visit!

Love this place. Salmon belly nigiri is so delicious. It Melts on your tongue!!! And they give you more fish than rice in their hand rolls. Truly Fresh ginger and real wasabi too!

We rate this restaurant 4.5 out of 5 and it checked all the items for food, service and atmosphere. Price wise it was good, had an upscale vibe and the overall experience was very good.
We ordered 8 hand rolls and most were flavorful. We loved the scallop hand roll the most, but the variety made the experience more like tasting and we had a nice time enjoying each roll.
The service was very nice and our server was polite and professional. The decor was modern and the atmosphere was cozy. The plates and utensils they used look fancy.

Found this sushi bar when picking up the fried chicken beside And come with friends the following weekend. The reason why I give 4 stars on food is not about the taste but the freshness. Freshness of most dishes and sushi are good but the amount I spent on this should deserve a better materials. Overall, it’s a good experience and chef is conversable. Still recommend to try their food.

We went over the Christmas holidays to visit our friend Jun at his new job. The food was awesome and the staff were also.
The ambiance is very nice, a great, low key place for a date where you can get some great sushi and delicious sake. I ordered a bottle of the Black & Gold, it’s enough for 2 or 3 people and taste great with the sushi.
Highly recommend you check this spot out of you like sushi like we do.

Just checked out Nomiya in Carrollton and I’m officially obsessed. The sushi was insanely fresh and so good! The place is gorgeous inside, modern but cozy, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Everyone was so friendly and made the whole experience even better. If you’re into sushi, you have to try this place. Definitely my new favorite spot in town. ✨

New Sushi & Hand Roll Bar in Carrollton @nomiya_handroll Sister restaurant of Naminohana – similar nigiri’s and cold plates (no gindara) The vibes feel a little more upscale. Pricing a a tad higher but I think it’s because of the location. Sushi is solid but still needs a little work on the rice but in soft opening phase. Probably the better choices in the Carrollton area for sushi though!

This place is amazing!!! The food was very fresh and very excellent quality. We stopped in and were so glad we did. From the amazing hand washing towel (small bowl with white pill- trust me put in water and see the magic). Soft opening so they do not have as many beers like on menu. But the sake was hot and delicious. The water glasses were always full. Chefs were very nice. Get the handrolls, especially the real crab and scallops. I forgot to take photos of the rolls because we were enjoying the food and service so much. We went Thursday and 3 days later still thinking about it. The countertop seating right with the chefs putting your food on the serving dish was so good. Their seaweed is quite different from what I can buy in store. Better quality. Do not miss this place!
