Great covered area for outdoor seating, a food cart with a drive thru window? I’ve never seen one until now, it’s a great place.. carne asada tacos were great, lengua tacos very tender and the Roja red sauce & green guacamole sauce very very good..

The strawberry cake is so good! I will go back just for another slice, and to try the peach tres leches!

Our initial experience at this food cart was noteworthy. The food cart itself appears to be one of the largest we have seen, featuring a substantial covered dining space adjacent to the ordering area, complemented by additional uncovered outdoor seating with tables and benches. To the side you would find a separate building housing clean restrooms.

The selections on meat choices were of exceptional quality, with a diverse selection of sauces catering to a range of spice preferences. The service provided was also excellent, and the portion sizes were generous. We sampled their tres leches strawberry cake, a first-time experience for me. While the other members of our party thoroughly enjoyed the cake, my personal preference does not extend to foods with a mushy texture, which likely influenced my assessment of the dessert.

Tacos La Providencia in Tillamook is, hands down, the best Mexican food truck I’ve ever been to. And I’ve been to a lot. From the moment I pulled into the lot, I knew this place was something special. It’s a semi-permanent food truck with a drive-through that stays busy, and for good reason. There’s a rhythm to the chaos, and everyone working there keeps things moving with impressive speed and friendliness.

I ordered the carne asada plate, and it absolutely blew me away. Perfectly seasoned, tender meat, fresh tortillas, and sides that didn’t feel like afterthoughts. My friend had the grilled chicken tacos and couldn’t stop raving about them. The flavors were bold but balanced, with that unmistakable “real deal” taste you just can’t fake.

The sauces are a highlight on their own. They offer a full range, from mild and flavorful to one that could honestly make you cry (but in a good way). It’s the kind of hot that makes you respect it. They’re all laid out in squeeze bottles under the covered eating area, which by the way, is incredibly well set up. It’s clean, spacious, and offers real shelter from the unpredictable Oregon weather.

The drive-through line was long when I arrived, but it moved efficiently. I opted to park and order at the window, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Payment was simple, they take debit cards, which isn’t always a given at places like this. It’s little conveniences like that, plus clean bathrooms on-site, that make this feel like more than just a food truck, it’s a proper destination.

If you’re anywhere near Tillamook and even remotely into tacos or real-deal Mexican street food, you owe it to yourself to stop here. This is the kind of place you plan a road trip around. I’ll be back every time I’m in town.

The worst Mecican food I’ve had since we arrived in Oregon. We had Mexican food in Astoria, Seaside, and Cannon Beach. 8 different places total.

To kick things off, my husband ordered flour tortillas with his carne asada plate and found corn. He hates corn tortillas.

Also, no forks or knives or anything. Luckily I had some in the glove compartment.

The food was presented nicely, but that was decieving.

I ordered 3 carne asada tacos and when I opened the container all I could see was Pico de gallo, and grilled onions covering the plate.

I pushed the pico de gallo to the side to have a bite of beans and the pico de gallo water was covering the beans making them soupy and watery.

The grilled onions seasoned with some sort of fajita seasoning and the seasoning flavor got all over my tacos and ruined them.

The carne asada meat itself was strange. I don’t even know how to explain it. It was kind of like a cross between carne asada and ground beef or something and the seasoning was strange. I’ve never ever had carne asada with such strong fajita seasoning on it.

And barely a tiny sprinkle of onions and cilantro which is what really makes a street taco taste amazing.

My husband ordered his pico de gallo on the side, and when I opened it up, the whole bottom was filled with water. Which is basically what they put all over my food.

But I think that his carne asada was the worst carne asada we’ve ever seen. And we eat Mexican food everywhere.

It was super thin, and super dry and chewy. It was literally one step away from beef jerky.

He had a few bites of it but between the nasty carne asada and the corn tortillas, he basically had a meal of rice and beans. I gave him my rice because he didn’t really get to eat much.

I probably would have returned the whole thing and asked for a refund but we got our food to go and didn’t want to have to drive all the way back over there. $40 down the drain. Absolutely disgusting.

Oh, and not to mention when we got up to the window a literal 7-year-old confirmed our order, took our payment and gave us our food. I’ve never seen a kid that young working a drive-thru window before.

I also cannot figure out how on earth this place is getting such high reviews. In fact, we picked this spot because it had a 4.7. Maybe this is considered good Mexican food around here?

I have no idea, all I know is that I paid $42 for trash. Because that’s exactly where most of it went.

Editing a week later to add: Never got a refund. So somebody else enjoyed a free lunch.

Very good tacos. They are a little small, yet for $1.75 they are very good. The pastor has pineapple and is quite tasty. The asada is very lean and high quality meat. The outdoor seating is nice and they have an upstairs indoor seating as well. Food is fast and the bathrooms are very clean. This place is worth the stop.
