During my work trip to Reno, I decided to dine at this establishment. They provided chips and salsa, which were quite flavorful and not overly spicy. I chose the fish and shrimp tacos, and I must say, the taste was excellent, exceeding my initial expectations. My only observation would be regarding the tortillas, as they appeared to have been preheated in a microwave and were somewhat fragile. The service was adequate, although the two servers seemed to be experiencing a less-than-ideal day, which affected their demeanor. However, the atmosphere was delightful, with music, a visually appealing bar, and fitting decorations. Unless someone highly recommends it, I may not return.

Went as a group of 10 on a Sunday around 12pm and got seated right away. There was live music which was a nice touch. I got a michelada with negra modelo which was great. I got the combination plate with chile relleno and a red chicken enchilada with rice and beans. The chile relleno was surprisingly really good, but the chicken enchilada was not that great. The chicken was not very shredded and was just not the best. My dad had the menudo and he said it was good. The service was okay, but out waitress could’ve definitely checked on us more often and refilled more drinks. They did get everyone’s order correct which was good. It’s 4 mins from the peppermill casino where we stayed and would recommend it.

First impression: the place smelled like a drain clean out/caño… faux plants = no fresh air. The chips were a bit stale, way too crunchy and on the hard side. The food was okay, we ordered burritos and it was just shrug worthy. Upon leaving the restaurant, I noticed that all the seats were cracked and it gives it a run down look. The booth we were sat was very uncomfortable and the material of the booth was a suede-like texture, they look dirty.
Service was really good, the ladies were nice and attentive.

My wife and I enjoyed delicious dinner here today. Great atmosphere with nice Latino music. We ordered different types of fajitas which were so tasteful and generously made. Waitresses were fully engaged and helpful throughout the evening. Amazing food and amazing experience!

Me and my family went there to eat worst place ever with accomodating special needs child. My 8 year old child is autistic and doesn’t eat certain foods plus I also had my two year old that is picky so I took them their food and they were eating when a server approached us and said the owner was watching through the cameras and he doesn’t allow it. Mind you this has never happened to us and also the kids were hungry and eating when he said the owner said we had too leave. My two yeard old crying they didn’t care. Not warning not nothing. I will neer go back if they can’t accommodate special needs child. I feel so bad walking out there with the two kids hungry and crying and how you explain to them they are not allowed to have their food in there. I will not be supporting this kind of business. Felt so humiliated.

Every time we fly into Reno on our way to Lake Tahoe, Tacos Jalisco is our first stop, and it never disappoints! This place serves the most authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had. The flavors are incredible, the ingredients are fresh, and every dish feels like a true taste of Mexico. The tacos are always spot-on, and the salsas add the perfect kick. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is friendly and quick. Tacos Jalisco has become a must-visit tradition for us—highly recommend!

The food is hands-down flavorful and delicious. Always the first and last place we eat when in Reno. Always a little slow to get seated, but it’s worth the wait. Tacos are always on point, and micheladas are huge. Don’t sleep on this place!

Just went in to place a To Go order and the people acted like it was too much to help.
Three ladies at the register were short with their answers as if it was a bother. One lady who gave us our order was at least nice. Go next door to the tamale place; she was friendly and sweet.

Paid for my tacos, but there are way more Mexican restaurants with better atmosphere and service.
Two times in one- first and last.

Beans salty as the ocean , hard shell tacos were cold like out of the refrigerator, portions are super small !! No shredded beef for tacos only carne adada . I’d give them zero stars if it were possible. I’m 46 years old and this is possibly the worst Mexican restaurant that I have ever eaten at in my life . They make Taco Bell seem like a 5 star restaurant compared to their food .
