It’s always interesting when a business spends so much time telling the world how beloved they are, how dedicated they are to their customers, and how much they “care” about the community. That’s a great message — but only when the reality matches the marketing.
We arrived at Tacos Elsinore at 8:39 PM, well before their posted closing time of 9:00 PM. Every online listing confirmed they were open. The sign on the door said “open.” Yet we were waved off by an employee who was already mopping the floor. Even after pointing to the sign, she simply shook her head and refused to serve us.
If a business chooses to close early, that’s a policy choice — but then they should be honest about it. Update your hours. Train your staff. Do something other than telling the public you’re community-focused while turning people away before closing.
I’m always the first to praise businesses that live up to their own standards. But I’ll also call it out when the experience doesn’t match the image. If this was a one-off staff issue, fix it. If it’s your actual policy, own it. Just don’t advertise yourselves as a standout neighborhood gem while operating like any other place that shuts the doors whenever it’s convenient.

The food is not bad I’ve stopped here on several occasions and servers are friendly and food is not bad; the portions are great it just seems to be missing that “flare” like the menu has been the same for a while and I feel they could work a little on upping the foods flavor but overall not a bad spot at all!

The food is authentic and delicious. I have ordered their tacos, rolled tacos, enchiladas, chile rellenos and menudo. No complaints. I wish their prices were a little cheaper, average meal is $20 a person but so is most fast food restaurants unless your ordering from the value menu or have coupons.

I have been ordering from Tacos Elsinore for years, I love their food, and the beans are very creamy. I would say they make comfort food. I’m beating myself up for having only recently tried the home made salsa, as I never actually ordered chips on the side. The chips are nothing special, the salsa is. It’s chunky, full of fresh onions, tomatoes, green onions, and whatever else they sneak in there. The spice is warm and hits the nose.

Any Mexican restaurant that does not have Pico de Gallo, Is also not making their salsas Fresh. 3 stars is the maximum rating I can give any restaurant that is feeding its customers about half of their food from out of a can or bag pre-made.

Great place for tacos. Good service, fast and friendly. Mondays are $1.50 tacos. I love it when I remember that on a Monday. Because every time I do, that is what we eat for dinner. Plus their refried beans are top shelf! Yum.

Cousin brought me here, low-key hesitant to try it judging from how the plaza looks on the outside but honestly one of thee best taco places I’ve ever been too (def top 5). Service was excellent, server was very friendly and brought food to our table. Food was good looking and good tasting. Would highly recommend and I will def be back for more next time im in town.
