I am so excited to finally find some amazing tacos in the DC area. It has been a long journey to find you, Tacos El Torito. Thank you so much!
I had pollo, barbacoa and al pastor. The meat was succulent and full of saucy juiciness. The tortillas were awesome and topped with chopped onions and cilantro and served with a moderately spicy salsa.
UPDATE: Not open consistent hours. Be aware the truck may not be there when you try to go.

At the beginning it was slightly difficult find.
But we found them at the corner of Piedmont and Pershing.

I was at an event that they catered and when I tell you that these 3 tacos were so filling. My goodness I wanted more only because they tasted so good. The choices we had were chicken, steak or veggie tacos and each one of them was great. The limes were fresh and juicy and the cucumbers were beautiful. The hot sauce was fresh but spicy and such a great addition to the tacos. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND

So, this review is way long overdue. Just like me finally trying the food here was way long overdue. Currently I live in the apartments across the street, but unfortunately I am moving in the next couple of days. So to start..

It’s not easy to find amazing tasting, quality and authentic styles of cuisine. Especially at a great price. And even most of the time, the food is to main stream to be considered authentic. That is not the case with the food here at Tacos El Torito 2.
I’ve tried pretty much almost every single item on their menu. And every single one of them was delicious! 2 of my favorites are the tacos and their massive burritos. Omg are their burritos so big and tasty. Forget chipotle!!. Trust me!! And really the best part about this place, is the family running it! They are all so kind, honest and just flat out.. great people!! I’m truly going to miss living right across the street from here. I will end this review with saying this…. . IF YOU HAVE NOT YET TRIED THIS FOOD YET, YOU MUST DO SO TODAY!!!!
They are only here for dinner but I’m sure they’re at other locations during the day.

Received the tacos all the meat was full of gristle and not chewable. I was really disappointed because I saw the reviews and they had a high rating .I went assuming I’m going get really great food. Myson ordered the torta. We ordered one Carne Asada and one Pollo. The Carne Asada was super tough just like my Carne Asada tacos. It was really really bad paid almost $50 for three tacos and two tortas and literally threw it in the garbage.

Went at 8 pm on a Thursday and they were parked on Pershing at the corner of Piedmont.
The line went quickly and the people running it were super nice.
