I’m visiting and read the mixed reviews but had to try it myself… The Menudo is soooooo good the tacos were FULL of meat and good as hell! I got one of all the Salas to try and they were all so good too!!!!

I usually love this place. There really is no service. They just bring your food to the table. My Carne asada was bland. The music they were playing was way too loud. I prefer to have a conversation not having music blaring.

Restaurant was clean. It’s small inside but everything was good. Staff was friendly. You have to order at the window before you sit down. The restroom is located outside and that was really clean too.

Was a bit surprised they had menu items listed without prices. Asked about prices but the Spanish speaking only cashier seemed unwilling or unable to provide me with a price list. I now know “Fritos Locos” (French Fries with carne asada on top) is $7.69. Holy smokes! That’s a lot of food! Two meals easy so really $4 for a meal. Meat was tender and tasty. Fries were crisp and tasty as well. Looked for ketchup at their topping bar but apparently that is not a thing. No matter. Tried a ladle of red sauce and green sauce. Voila. Would order the Fritos Locos again and BYOK (Bring your own ketchup).

I’m not sure what happened since last time I was here but the food is not what it used to be. My torta was mush, and I’d put money on it that my oysters came out of a can. 0 stars this trip. One more reason I loved coming back to Garden City is gone.

I thought maybe I was overcharged since I was white. They do not post their prices. Carne asada was plain. The meat was good and needed more flavor.
