From the perspective of non-locals, driving through Washington state on a random day during our vacation, we were amazed by this particular food truck’s uncanny ability to generate a village-like crowd during lunchtime.
Located in a small dusty parking lot on a quieter yet very convenient part of town, we noticed it was an easy location to drop by for a quick meal from any direction of travel.
We were the first to arrive at its 11am opening, and after taking our order, we saw the parking lot fill up over the next hour with folks from all walks of life: truckers, groups of tradespeople getting off a van together, solo drivers, and road trippers like us. The picnic tables filled up with diners quickly over a sunny day and it felt like the start of a lawn party.
This phenomenon alone spoke to the amazing food they made: the menu was simple but had all the good stuff. For my wife and I, we were able to try every flavour of taco listed (10 total). Given the small size of the tortillas, we appreciated being able to having so much variety in one meal. The meats were juicy, the garnishes were excellent and the condiments were spot on.

The best! Been coming here for many years. The staff are so friendly and the food is THE BEST!. I’m a vegetarian now but I still come here often and order 50+ tacos to feed my family. Tripa is the best ever! Crispy and full of flavor. Lots of parking and a few benches for eating you can’t go wrong coming here. The chicken is a little dry but we have tried most everything else and love everything!
My gluten free 4 yr old can safely eat here as well which is a huge plus. Everything is cooked on one grill though so vegetarian isn’t an option.

It’s not all it’s cracked up to be . Theres way better spots a few blocks down. There was flies everywhere too which is a big no no.

This taco truck is very authentic to Mexican food. I’m from Southern California & it’s been a while since I’ve had Tripa tacos. They were so nice & crispy. The food was served fast & she is very kind & there was plenty of seats & parking. Give this place a try I know I’ll be back. The prices are reasonable as well.

This is amazing!!! Don’t know how else to describe? Food is authentic. 3 tacos $6. I get an order of beef and an order of chicken. $12, I’m stuffed. Their green sauce is just wow. They carry special meats for the adventurous foodie also. Check them out, doubt you will be disappointed.

Ordered Carne Asada burrito. Tortilla was pretty chewy. Guts of burrito pretty bland and not flavorful even after adding salsa verde. Like that they had picnic tables to eat on as we were traveling. Fast service.

Located just of west main st in Monroe, WA Tacos El Rey is a suggested place for a great authentic tacos. Very nice people, and i live 2 blocks away, and can smell them making tacos from here so very hard to not go get some delicious taco’s. Gotta try them if you havent, and there is plenty of parking, and yes handicap accessible. Thanks for the beef tacos their amazing!
