Best veggie burrito in the treasure valley! Always go for the super veggie burrito. It is very large and always hits the spot. All of their hot sauces are delicious as well. I enjoy the red and green tomatillo ones the best.

El Rey is So so so good! I rarely eat tacos from any other truck! The staff is friendly, the food is amazing! All around great!

A new BRIGHT red outside, but the same AMAZING food on the inside. This place is absolutely the best place if you want reasonably priced, delicious, and authentic tacos! I can’t really say how the other food is because all I ever get are tacos! Can’t say enough good things about the food, so so good!

First time at El Ray, and I ordered the Super Burrito. Overall I really liked it, especially the quality of the meat and veggies. I didn’t really like that they use refried beans, I’d prefer whole beans, but on the while a solid burrito.

The tacos here are delicious. And the salsa is the perfect amount of flavor and spice. Service is pretty quick, especially since there are only two people working. Service is kind and excellent.

Reddit Boise Eats suggested the #6 as one of the better Mexican options in town that hasn’t been Americanized. I really don’t trust Boise opinions because there should be the disclaimer “….it’s good…..for Boise.”
Tacos el Rey #6 is legit. Their sopes is not greasy, not skimpy, not expensive. The tiny plastic fork they give is useless, and the sopes is so overloaded that picking it up and trying to attack from either side results in the toppings falling.
Each time we go there’s a small wait. English is limited (or should I say my Spanish is a hard fail). Many call in orders, and just one or two items we ordered took about 10 minutes as the giant orders took priority. Seating is ample, flies abundant (trash can feet away), parking is a huge lot next to Tobacco Connection adjacent to a noisy intersection where you can watch endless drag races while your meal is prepared.
We didn’t order the street tacos, but they are $2.75 each. Kind of spendy for our street taco criteria, but not as OMG spendy as Basilio’s out on Lake Hazel Road. FYI, some of the best “street” tacos are a bit east on Ustick at Fiesta Chicken. I’m being serious!

I can’t believe I’ve been here a couple of times already to grab some food. The tacos are delicious and the meat is top-notch quality. However, I am absolutely furious about the super burritos here. They are filled with more rice and beans than meat! I was extremely disappointed to find barely any meat in my burrito. It felt like there was only the amount of meat from one taco in the entire burrito. Next time, I’ll definitely stick to just getting tacos instead of wasting my money on a disappointing burrito.

I had the carnitas, adobada, tripa, asada, and pollo. All the pork tacos were great, the asada was not. But all in all, since I rarely get asada, I would give it 5 stars.
The Carnitas were super stuffed with meat, snd all other taco aspects were great. Same with the Adobada. The Tripa was one of the best I’ve had in the valley, they cut into smaller pieces so when it’s crispy on the ends, there’s more crisp. I enjoyed what I had but was disappointed that they didn’t have chorizo.
I would say I prefer the Tacos El Rey in Nampa, but this was almost as good.

The carne asada street tacos were good. I would go back for those but, I would definitely pass on the burrito next time.
It took almost 30 minutes to receive my order with only a couple customers in front of me.
