Tacos El Paisa has delicious mesquite charbroil Mexican recipes – tacos (rolled tacos, soft street tacos, hard shell tacos, gorditas), burritos, chimichangas, quesadillas, mulitas, sopes, tampiquena, chilies rellenos, sides & more. Breakfast plates and breakfast burritos are served all day and we also have delicious Mexican desserts (Flan, bunuelos, churros). We are located on the southeast corner of Southern Avenue and Stapley Drive in Mesa, Arizona.

An unassuming restaurant that has quite high-quality, delicious food. The best two items are the chorizo and the Gordita. The chorizo is moist, perfectly spiced and incredibly flavorful, while the Gordita is packed with your choice of meat, fresh veggies, sour cream, refried beans, and cheese. The corn shell is thinner making it super crunchy to contrast the fillings. The tacos in general are great and all have a fresh corn tortilla soaked in marinade. The birria and al pastor are both succulent and flavorful, but are just missing a bit of nuisance and spice. The Caramelo taco with carne asada, on the other hand, is amazing. The asada is nicely charred and marinated. The cheese is buttery, savory, a bit sour, and pairs nicely with the grill of the flour tortilla. Finally, the frozen margaritas are another must try. The strawberry version has that perfect sweet and strong, (possibly) artificial strawberry flavor and a great amount of tequila. You must have it with a rim of tajin to add spiciness and salt. One improvement would be to blend it a bit more, as a few ice chunks were left.
They offer a large selection of typical Mexican dishes with a few local Southwestern and Sonoran ones, and yet nothing was bad. The staff are extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. The interior is also clean and modern.

The food here is amazing! Worth the prices the website menu has inaccurate prices, they should probably fix that. But other then the pricing is say this place is a must if you’re looking for some delicious Mexican food and amazing service. The ladiess working were kind, polite, and Patient. I also love that they have a topping bar and a few different salsas to try!!! I’ll definitely be back!!

Food was really good. Got a breakfast burrito. The price was higher then expected from Google photos of menu. Expected $8 and paid $14. Be prepared to wait in the drive thru for your order.

I love the pizzabirria but man it’s ridiculous how they package the consome when you’re getting it to go. The styrofoam needs to go! It literally melts through the container and spills everywhere. I’m so irritated that I spent $50 and have to detail my car now because it melted through the container and went everywhere in my car tonight. Other than that the food is really good – I just can’t stand the containers always melting with the consome or maybe it’s not proper temperature handling.

I had their flautas for the first time and I love whatever the sauce that comes with them is called. I’m ashamed of how much I come here. The drive thru wait is a lil long but I assume it’s because they don’t cook it until you order it, wild concept.
