A Consistently Excellent Dining Experience
Our first visit to Coastal Del Mar for dinner was so impressive that we returned a day after for lunch. The restaurant exceeded expectations both times. On our first visit—a busy Friday night—we didn’t realize reservations were recommended, yet the staff went out of their way to accommodate us without hesitation.
The service is consistently warm and attentive, from the greeting at the door to the final course. The food tastes remarkably fresh, and it’s clear the kitchen prioritizes quality ingredients. We also appreciated that the menu includes several gluten-free options, which made dining easy for us.
Across our visits, we tried a variety of dishes: the trout, fish and chips, shrimp and avocado plate, caprese and tomato salad, sushi, key lime pie, and the dark chocolate crème brûlée. Each dish was flavorful, well-presented, and thoughtfully prepared.
The ambience at Coastal Del Mar is another highlight—relaxed yet refined. Whether dining during a lively evening rush or a quiet Sunday afternoon, the atmosphere remains inviting and enjoyable.

As usual, I was out and about visiting a client in Lady Lake. Lo and behold, I discovered this gem in The Villages.
It is in a very good location, has wonderful ambience in the dining and bar areas, and the disposition of the staff is very friendly and welcoming. My server, Wesley, was very friendly and accommodating. I never felt ignored, while still having my space to enjoy.
The quality of the food was excellent. I had a grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and cream spinach. The cream spinach is elevated nicely, fresh out of the oven and it’s on a ceramic dish. Nice and piping hot. To the extent they warned you when they bring it out.
They have a generous wine list, and the prices are very fair for what you’re getting.
I’m looking forward to being in the area again, so I can visit this place and enjoy it some more.

We had a great customer service experience in the late afternoon. We were a party of 3 with Nicki as our server. After dealing with food availability she made an excellent recommendation for me to try. The Bronzini with the asparagus and creamy spinach was amazing. The texture of everything crisp and moist was well matched. Compliments to the chef and to Nicki’s amazing customer service.

Coastal Del Mar is a true gem! The restaurant is beautiful and impeccably clean. From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Our waitress was fantastic, providing excellent service with a smile. Although we only sampled the alcoholic drinks, they were top-notch and expertly prepared. We can’t wait to return and try the food, but based on our experience so far, Coastal Del Mar easily earns a 5-star rating!

First time diners at Coastal Del Mar… was really looking forward to trying this place. Stopped in for lunch on a “rainy” day. It was not busy! We were seated & greeted quickly. We were a party of four and ordered the fish tacos (grilled), two fish ‘n chips and a burger. Other than the burger being cooked perfectly… the meal was very underwhelming. The fries had obviously been sitting under a warmer – very disappointing. I think that’s what happens when a restaurant is slow, sadly. The waitress might have been the only server – and because of this – SHE WAS SLOW! I’d like to say it’s the restaurants fault BUT she would bring us things ONE AT A TIME! She’d get the vinegar (that was requested at ordering) and then she’d get the tartar sauce (that she forgot) and then something else. Sooo disorganized! It was just not an “enjoyable” lunch. I see they get 4.5* – maybe it was an off day??

First time dining at Coastal Del Mar. The atmosphere was pleasant. Main dining room was busy but not slammed. Very easy to talk at our table. The food was EXCELLENT! Entree’s were delicious and the portions were generous. Sides were good but nothing special. Our server Tony was the only bad part of our visit. Tony was not friendly or welcoming, and seemed genuinely uninterested in whether my date and I were attended to. Again, the meal itself was VERY GOOD and we’ll certainly return again soon. Just won’t have Tony wait on our table!

My beautiful 87 year young Italian Mom suggested we go to the Square and enjoy music and dancing. Instead of eating homemade Italian, our blessed staple at home here at Vista Lago, Mom suggested Coastal Del Mar and we quickly found a spot to park and were greeted immediately by a lovely woman and then another manager, both very welcoming. We’ve eaten here 6 times over the past year and I take all of my reviews seriously. Once again we were served immediately and attended to with professional service. Special thanks to our server, Miss Katie or Carey, and to both male managers who stopped by to check on Mom and I. We could eat anywhere and there are many eateries, but not all can deliver seafood that’s consistently as great it it always is. Shrimp were large and fried to perfection. The flavor of the haddock tasted clean and fresh and enjoyed every bite. The salmon was also very good. Zero complaints. Y’all can enjoy a seafood platter and salads and share the platter. Great customer service and they are open 365 days a year! Peter and Mom

Awesome little restaurant! The food was sooooo good. Our server was Niki and she was spectacular! The chicken Kiev was the best. Cocktails were also fantastic. I strongly recommend this place to everyone!
