The tacos here are packed with flavor and taste really authentic, with fresh ingredients that make a big difference. The portions are generous, and everything comes out hot and well-prepared. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for a quick bite or sitting down to enjoy a meal. Service is friendly and fast, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a 10/10. Decided to dine in today, sat a the bar where I was greeted and served by Carmen. She is great, she made sure to check on us since the beginning. We had the Carne Asada which was phenomenal and the tacos unfortunately are not in the picture since I ate them right away (the taco meat was warm and the ingredients were fresh)

We ordered food specifically to feed 12 people, and what we received was barely enough to cover 6. It was immediately obvious that over half of our order was missing. When we called to get it sorted out, instead of helping, the staff talked over us and insisted we had ordered something completely different from what we actually requested. They even went as far as telling us to “enjoy our 10oz of guac,” which felt incredibly dismissive and unprofessional given the situation. Then they said “just bring it back”.
We weren’t looking for anything unreasonable—just the food we paid for or at least a respectful conversation about the mistake. Instead, we were met with rudeness, zero accountability, and no attempt to make things right. For a catering order meant to feed a group, this was a really disappointing experience from start to finish. Her name was Christina.

First time visiting this location. The food definitely feels like it’s been made the same way for a long time, and while that can mean consistency, it also came across as a bit dated.
I was in the area for a meeting and decided to stop by for lunch around 12:30. I sat at the bar/diner counter, which gave me a clear view of the kitchen production. I noticed the owner/manager was present, but her vibe didn’t feel very welcoming—she was focused on paperwork at peak lunch hours, when it seemed the staff could have used more hands-on leadership.
The carne asada in particular didn’t feel fresh. It looked like it had been cooked in large batches earlier, and by the time I was served it was very dry.
The biggest concern for me was cleanliness and food safety. I observed staff not washing hands, not wearing gloves, and cooks without hats. Floors were not kept clean either. What stood out even more was that the manager didn’t address these issues with her team.
Would I come back? Not sure. With other taquerías just a couple of minutes’ walk away, I might try them out first.

Superlative everything. The team at Tacos El Norte is the warmest, most caring, talented, and fun group you‘ll ever encounter in a restaurant setting. Everything on the menu is expertly prepared, made from scratch and on-site, and is the most authentic you’ll find. A rare find. Don’t mistake any of the other area Tacos El Norte locations for this one; they’re clearly not.

Service was wonderful, rice and beans were delicious and the milanesa (breaded beef) was tender. Missed out one star because I don’t believe the salsas were exactly authentic.
