I love tacos el nevado! Got a taco plate with a birria, pollo & chorizo taco and my husband got one of the speciality dishes. Service was great, I love that the servers have a toast go that they take the order on so the order goes in quick and comes out quick. Amazing micheladas too 🙂

This place was recommended to me at least three times so we finally had a chance to go and honestly, everything was just… okay. No Taco Tuesday specials, and the tacos were pretty average—not bad, but not anything to rave about. I got the chicken and campechano, and the campechano was the better of the two.
The biggest letdown for me was the spicy margarita. It wasn’t spicy at all, and I didn’t feel a thing after finishing it—which says a lot because I’m usually a lightweight. My boyfriend got the birria tacos and said they were amazing, so points there.
Service-wise… meh. Our server wasn’t super attentive. We ordered two margaritas—mine came out fast, but my boyfriend didn’t get his until the end of the meal, when we didn’t even want it anymore. She brought out salsa right away, but the chips didn’t show up until the tacos did.
I’ll give them another shot though, because I do want to try more of the menu.

This has been my favorite spot for YEARS! authentic Mexican food and drinks. Came on a Saturzay for an early dinner around 3pm, and it was busy but able to get a table for 2. It is a small place, so be prepared to wait during their peak hours and seated closely next to others. Decided to eat tacos, which are $3.25 each. If you decide to get Tripa or lengua, which is specialty meat, you will be upcharged. They do NOT offer free chips and salsa like normal Mexican restaurants, which I thought was weird and disappointing. If you do want chips, they are $2. We ended up just ordering them to go along with our tacos. The tacos were AMAZING as I knew they would be. Great flavor, taste, and handmade corn tortillas. Whenever im.in the are and craving Mexican food, this is my go-to to spot. They do have parking spaces around the restaurant and never had a problem with parking when I’ve gone.

We LOVE the food at Tacos El Nevado. But I honestly think that after our last experience, we’ll probably never return to this location. Our waitress was super uninterested in doing her job. After she took our order, we never saw her again. Not once did she return to our table. Another waitress brought out our food and checked on us. After waiting for 20 minutes for the waitress to return so we could pay, my husband went to the front to see if we could get our check and place a to go order. When our to go order was done, this same waitress threw our food at us and said “here ya go. Bye!”. I thought maybe it was an accident so I didn’t complain or thinking anything about it. When we left, my daughter said “Thank you. Bye!” and the waitress that had previously thrown food at us snapped “BYE!”. When we walked out the door, I looked at my husband and said, “They clearly didn’t want us there.” and he felt the same way. Idk why we were treated the way we were. We didn’t run our waitress, we didn’t ask for anything difficult. We even left a nice tip, that frankly wasn’t deserved. Yes, the food is delicious, but the way my family was treated, was absolutely…. A choice.

Today I decided to try this place since I pass by all the time and I ordered a steak fajita burrito. When I tell you I’ve never had a burrito this good. It has peppers, rice, bell peppers, onions a little bit of corn and your choice of protein. On top is lettuce, tomato and it’s lightly drenched in queso. It comes with a side of salsa but it’s a little too spicy for me so I ate it in moderation. I got it Togo but the whole experience was a 10/10 definitely recommend it.
