Excellent experience at Don Andres, first time visiting despite it being across the street from our home. Service was excellent despite being very busy on a Friday evening. A bit cramped, there appears to be another dining room next door but perhaps it’s for parties as it looked empty. Food was stellar, esquites for an appetizer, very generous portions for the price. My mole enchiladas were delicious. Reasonable prices on the beverages as well, and they serve a proper Imperial pint of draft beer, Modelo in this case. Good food, good prices, good service. No complaints.

I don’t throw around “best restaurant ever” lightly — but Tacos Don Andres in Championsgate just earned that title, and it’s not even close.

We ordered the Molcajete, the Nachos, and the Burritos — and honestly? Every single dish hit different. The Molcajete came out bubbling in a volcanic stone bowl, packed with deeply seasoned meats, rich salsa, and that smoky, slow-cooked depth that you just cannot fake. This isn’t Tex-Mex. This isn’t watered-down Mexican food for tourists. This is the real deal — the kind of food that makes you close your eyes on the first bite and think that you’re eating off a beautiful coast in Mexico truly authentic Mexican food.

The Nachos were loaded, fresh, and perfectly balanced — crispy where they needed to be, melty everywhere else. And the Burritos? Wrapped tight, generously stuffed, and bursting with flavor in every layer. These aren’t just burritos. These are experiences.

But the food is only half the story. Walking into Tacos Don Andres feels like stepping into an upscale Mexican hacienda — the ambiance is stunning. Warm, vibrant, beautifully designed. You feel like you’ve been teleported straight to Mexico City — but elevated. Think upscale cantina meets artisan culinary craftsmanship. The vibe is cozy, trendy, and electric all at once.

The service matched the environment — Edgar was really nice and very awesome. He guided us through the whole process and made it very easy to choose. . The vibe is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can feel the love and care in every detail of this place, from the décor to the plating to the way the staff carries themselves.

If you’re in the Championsgate, Davenport, or greater Orlando area and you haven’t been here yet — you’re missing out on something special. This isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a memory you’ll want to recreate again and again.

not sure if we just caught it on an off night, got there at 7pm on a sunday and didn’t get our food until about 8:20pm. it was decently busy but it seemed like the kitchen was prioritizing take out orders. people were complaining that they hadn’t received their food, but bags were being handed to customers that walked in for pick up. the food was okay not anything that blows you away. i would give it another chance earlier in the day.
the size of the burrito was good. queso was $10 so on the expensive side. chips could use some salt. total for 2 people was $45

First time at Don Andres and the $5 margarita sign on Tuesday immediately had my attention. When you walk in, the smell of onions and peppers sizzling hits you and at that point you just KNOW you’re in the right place. The complimentary chips and salsa were delicious. Like, I couldn’t stop eating them! I got the barria tacos, my friend ordered the burrito, and we added guacamole and margaritas because obviously. Everything was so good. I’ve had Mexican food in Texas, Philly, and NYC, and this honestly might be my favorite. The service was fantastic too which sealed the deal for a great experience . Definitely coming back.

Amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious; fresh, flavorful, and authentically Mexican. Every dish was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented.

What really made the visit special was our waitress, Valentina. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming with a great attitude!

Between the fantastic food and Valentina’s excellent service, this restaurant is wonderful. Highly recommend!

This amazing place serious fed my son and I for two days. I ordered for pick up and when I arrived the place was PACKED. The young man at the counter was super kind when he let me know they were running behind on my order but it would be out in about 20 minutes. No worries! Came back in 20, my food was ready and waiting. I didn’t realize how much you get! We have been happily feasting since yesterday on our food! We’ll definitely be back for more.

Nice little Mexican restaurant. Came in for lunch. Ended up getting a chicken Quesadilla and rice. The price was $13. The food was hot and fresh. The flavors were fantastic. I was served chips and salsa while I was waiting. The waiter saw that my salsa was running low and brought me another bowl without being asked. I don’t think that has ever happened. What an overall treat. I will come back when I am in this area.

This place was hoppin, even on a Tuesday night (there was a great marg special happening). The food was good, but I was most impressed by the fast service. It’s not a huge restaurant, so it can get busy, but it’s worth a stop for some great tacos!
