Tacos & Birria El Compadre!!! Where have you been all my life… lol
Knew as soon as I walked in, I was in for a treat. The place was busy and didn’t let up. Quickly you can see it’s a local favorite. While also hidden gem to the rest of us.
Service was great, the manager/owner by my guess, was attentive. Helpful, and even generous. Which was paid back in kind.
The food was spectacular. The vegetables were vibrant in color, fresh, and nothing short of perfection. You can tell that these people care about the quality they put out.
The flavors, don’t even know where to begin. The torta has to be one of the best I’ve had in a long time. If not, the best! I went with the pastor this go round. Just flavor upon flavor. You definitely can’t go wrong with this, if you’ve never had a torta.
The tacos: stick with the corn.
The flour tortilla missed the mark for me.
The chicken pastor was dry. However, with everything provided, cilantro, onion, Birria dipping sauce, to those wonderful salsa’s. It was still delicious!
Without a doubt I’ve been missing out on this spot.

Fresh ingredients (especially the horchata) ordered the burria in the quesadilla/pizza style it was perfect. Reminds me of lully’s burria pizza on the north side. Also had the grilled cheese with burria, which was seasoned too perfection. Loved the consume def coming back here and its hard for me to give a Mexican restaurant in Houston a 5 .
Probably a different story with a full house cause the seating is limited but for a Sunday afternoon the environment and speed of service was perfect. Also very clean from what I could see.

This place is absolutely incredible, and felt like what “home” is supposed to feel like because of the atmosphere and how rich the food flavors were. The food was impeccable and some of the best I have ever had! I had a carne asada torta, and 1 corn tortilla birria taco with cheese. My partner had a birria torta. We both got a canned drink. It was all PHENOMENAL! Our total cost was about $33.
It was also very clean on the inside. Everything looked so nice and brand new and very clean. I 1000% recommend this place to everyone!

If you go through my reviews , you’ll see I’ve only given 5 ⭐’s across the board MAYBE 3-4 times out of all my reviews. I want to add another 5 ⭐’s for the guys that work the taco truck location by 45 south. These guys work hard , and put out the same delicious food as the brick and mortar location in Pearland. Super friendly. I’ve been here so many times , they already know what I’m gonna order.

First visit here. Tried the Pollo taco and Pollo al pastor tacos, all on flour tortillas. Fresh, delicious and served with nice salsa choices and onions with a nice kick. The pineapple empanadas are perfect! Just the Right Touch of sweetness but not too much Highly recommend

This is now our favorite new place for Tacos in Houston. Food is delicious. All the meats were perfectly flavored without being too salty or fatty. Service is impeccable. The cashier is happy to answer any questions you have about the menu. The servers serve with a smile and are super polite. The restaurant itself is clean and you can tell they care about about quality, taste, cleanliness and most of all, their customers. 100% recommend.

We used to come here a lot when this place first opened. The food is usually pretty good. However, today’s experience wasn’t this time. We got 2 orders of the mini street tacos(pollo and birria), no drinks included which was fine. The meat was very dry, it tasted like more charred than flavor. Not even the salsa included was able to justify its dryness, we couldn’t even finish our food.

Highly recommend! Most recently tried the carne asada torta and it did not disappoint! The chips and salsa is always amazing, and the drinks are refreshing and delicious.
