Been back 4 times already, not a single miss. The Al pastor, steak, and fish tacos were excellent. Came by near to closing time after a long road trip, everything was fresh and full of flavor. A little more on the expensive end – but worth it. Margaritas are nice and strong! Excellent staff and expansive menu, a must have on Madison Ave.

The 2 stars are for the cashier who was obviously new but very nice and pleasant. Food was a no go for me… 19.25 for a 2 chicken taco dinner. Not really much flavor besides high amounts of salt. I had to get sour cream to calm to salt from the food.. even the rice was salty anyways 1 and some. It’s not authentic Mexican food or even good honestly guess they cater to the community as far as preparation and seasonings

My first impression walking in, was that the place was definitely put together well, seating and decor. This has got to be the cleanest taco joint i have ever been to… i mean spotless. Definitely makes you feel good. I got three tacos. chicken, pastor, and carne asada. On the side I got chips and guacamole with the house sangria. So the chicken was dry, easily fixed with the salsa and good flavor, but noticeably dry. The pastor was a bit sweet for my taste, but good. The steak was totally awesome, juicy, full-on flavor and definitely what I will have from now on. The guacamole was above average, and the sangria was good, but a really small serving for the price… probably the only true negative. Definitely would recommend this place for a sit down lunch or to go.

Fun new place! The tacos were delicious and they have vegetarian options. The interior is sparkling with plenty of seating and there are even a few tables outside if you want to brave the heat. Our first time won’t be our last.

The tacos are super tasty, which is really all you need to know, but I also want to tell a brief story about some great service. I showed up on my bike after ordering online, 10 minutes early, and my meal was already waiting for me. I went back outside to my bike, but before I could leave, one of the staff ran out to me. The lovely folks behind the counter had noticed that I had put the takeout container on its side in my backpack, and that during the ride home the meal would become a horrible mess—so they gave me a whole new order’s worth of tacos and sides in individual containers at no charge.

I went to Tacos ‘76 as part as a Pop-Up Shop and it was a really cool environment. The food was good. I got a steak taco plate and someone also gave me a churro which was delicious. The staff were the highlight though. All very nice with great customer service.

The tacos were very fresh, tasty, and yes, delicious. It was my first time sampling these tacos, and they didn’t disappoint. I would’ve loved for the tacos shells to be much bigger, though, because I want more of the deliciousness. Try Tacos ’76. You won’t regret it.

Some of the best tacos I’ve purchased in oakpark , the steak was char grilled and seasoned to perfection. The al pastor was full of flavor my only complaint was the cost which is $4 a taco when compared to the size of the tacos. I guess that’s the oakpark tax , ultimately tho I can see myself coming back when I’m craving some good tacos and don’t feel like driving far to my favorite spots. The restaurant was clean and staff was friendly.
