Taco Villa has good food, but there are times when orders aren’t quite right and sides like salsa or peppers may be missed. It can be a little disappointing, but I’m hopeful with more attention to detail this can improve. Still enjoy stopping by and appreciate the staff’s hard work.

Literally the worst service I’ve ever had in my life. The petty jerk at the front counter/taking orders tonight that was too lazy to hand a mobile order out the window. Mind you the entire parking lot and drive thru were completely empty. As well as the lights being off inside the restaurant.
He was rude, completely ignored my husband when he came in the store for over 2 minutes while standing at the front register in front of him. Not only did he ignore him when he came in the store (after being told to come inside) he acted like he was busy with a receipt that he pulled off the counter and then so happened to look at him and say “oh here’s your order”. Please do something about these disrespectful people you put to be the face of your entire operation.

We were missing a burrito on our order. I specifically asked for NO onions and extra onions were added on what I ordered. The young man fixing our food had long, curly hair and I don’t know how he could see what he was doing. This location has not been the same since Cody, the manager, has relocated to south Slide location!!

Nowadays, you never know what you’re gonna get with customer service. It’s almost got me to actually thinking about staying home to cook! Haha! Blah! I ordered a meat burrito and small drink. When I paid, it was much less than I expected but I thought maybe that was because of Happy Hour. Got home and discovered I’d received a crispy taco in the bag. Seriously. Called the store and manager made it right but why should I have to do that!?!

Well it’s better than Taco Bell.
Back story: Being from Houston whenever we needed fast tex-mex we went to Taco Cabana. So when I moved to Lubbock there was no TC to be had but my girl friend (a local) said, you have to go to Taco Villa, it’s way better than TC. I disagree, I think it’s good, I don’t think it’s better than TC. So the battle has raged on for the better part of 5 years, till last night. The battle of TC vs TV is no more!
Our order: #5 (A taco salad W/Steak), #3(A taco & burrito), and chicken nachos.
The salad was good, I was a little taken back by the refried beans (added a strange texture I thought). They use a charred beef that was flavorful and added a nice texture to the salad. Also they use Ken’s steakhouse dressing (really good stuff).
The taco & burrito was everything you would expect from cheap fast food. Good filling.
The one thing that TV has on TC is their salsa, it’s soooo good and makes every menu item 5000% better, so next time skip the “red sauce” and add more fresh salsa.
The nachos, I’m just going to tell you now, skip the nachos. I thought they were a big letdown. Small, unappetizing to behold, the chicken looked more like something we gave the cat. We didn’t even finish them.

This location cannot get an order right. This is my third time to have an order prepared wrong. I do not understand how it is so difficult to prepare a chicken wrap without dressing. I will not be returning.
