By far my favorite guacamole in town. Made fresh to order and you can tell. Super fresh, and they don’t smash it completely smooth so there’s still small chunks of avocado which I prefer. Their salsa is also fresh too and is well seasoned. Chips always fresh and crunchy.
I love their corn tortillas as they are soft and fresh unlike most places that are stiff and dry. They also don’t skimp out on the amount of onions and cilantro they top their street tacos with. I also appreciate how juicy their limes always are.
Their homemade agua frescas and horchata are delicious, but sadly they’re pretty often out of both. Besides that, everything else is great. Service is fast and the restaurant is cute. Outdoor seating is nice when the weather permits.

I’d been to the shelburn location before, and don’t get me wrong, the food there is still good. But this meal was easily better than the others ive had at taco tequila locations! The staff was super friendly and easy to talk to, the food was absolutely delicious, and the beer was very tasty (have had some bad experiences at other restaurants in town so I don’t take “its beer” for granted!)

Street tacos (and every other dish so far)reminded my family of living in Texas, SO good. BONUS: I was able to eat a street taco for the first time because the server knew for sure which meats had been marinated/season using onion (I can’t eat) and those that weren’t (2, IIRC) I had the beef skirt steak, cilantro, and lots of lime squeezed over (and some with some hot sauce on the table)…obviously without the salsa…AWESOME. Have returned with just as spectacular of experience.

Me and my wife are retired and have done quite a bit of traveling. We are from Indiana and love Mexican food. We have had trouble finding really good Mexican food when we are home. NOT ANY MORE. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants we have ever been to. Really enjoyed it. Service and food!

I usually don’t crave Mexican cuisine if I’m not outside my home state but once and a while there are exceptions! Luckily when researching a place, Taco Tequila’s was right near my hotel with a brisk walk. Taco Tequila isn’t entirely a huge restaurant, but they do draw in a decent crowd so if you are a bigger party you might have to wait. Arriving, I was seated almost promptly and was given a menu, water, and chips with dip to start. I wouldn’t say I’ve tried everything but everything I’ve tried has been quite enjoyable. The tacos are double the tortilla with nicely marinated meats, the fajitas are sizzling hot and fulfilling, and the fried Mexican ice cream packs a crunch! The people are nice, and the atmosphere isn’t stuffy, something I personally enjoy in a smaller space. They do serve alcohol with a variety. I usually get a whiskey, but I have tried their margaritas and pina coladas which are good too, just don’t give yourself a brain freeze! I’ve already been here more than once and when I’m in town I’ll probably come back for a quick taco fix. If you’re from the area you’ve most likely have tried it but if you haven’t, give it a shot!

A strong 5 starts for Taco Tequilas! The food was excellent. Service was quick and friendly and they had some super good hot sauce at the tables. Absolutely will be back here. My Carne Asada was so tasty as was my chicken enchilada. I left full. And, the margaritas are huge!!

I love this place! This right here is amazing & one of my favorites on their menu. Delicious refried beans & cheese w/ tasty rice. Crisp & crunchy fresh lettuce & fresh tomatoes. Wonderful combination with juicy, tender chicken smothered and wrapped, inside a hot and steamy corn tortilla. So yummy! I absolutely love their steak street tacos as well! They are amazing! Especially topped with salsa or green/hot sauce.
