I have been going to this place ever since it opened. A few weeks ago we called to place an order, and the lady on the phone accused us of not paying for our previous order. We were very confused because we would never steal or do something like that. Also, how would we even have received our order if it wasn’t paid for?
We were very upset and went into Taco Tastic to show our receipt proving that we paid for our last meal. Unfortunately, the lady never apologized for the accusation or for her mistake.
We were loyal customers, but after being falsely accused of not paying, we will not be returning. It was very disappointing to be treated this way.

They win the worst Mexican restaurant award. The tacos were bland and only had onions on top, the tortilla was cold and store bought. The nacos were from a bag and had canned cheddar cheese goop on top. The choros were rock hard and also cold. My better half had the fish tacos,the fish was good the breading was thick and unseasoned.
The staff was very unresponsive in fact one said “I don’t eat this food”

From three years ago:
I ordered three American-style ground beef tacos with rice and beans for takeout dinner.
They told me it would be ready in 20, but I walked in after 10 minutes and my order was already waiting.
Rice was nice and fluffy, beans were good.
Tacos had plenty of cheese and meat. My only complaint would be that I’d like more seasoning for the meat. It needed more flavor for sure.
Other than that, overall it was good. I’ll come back and try the chicken next.
Ok, I tried the chicken tacos next week, Mexican-style. They were delicious! Even though I haven’t written reviews for other Mexican restaurants, I eat at many in the area. The tacos this time were easily top two I’ve had in recent memory.
In summation, give this place a shot. The location is a pain and the parking sucks, but the prices are fair and the food is worth it overall.

If I could give this place no stars I would. We get tacos from here at least once a week same order everytime. I always tell people these are the best tacos around, until tonight. I placed an order online, picked it up, and ate it. As I was biting into my taco I found an earring as shown in the picture below. Obviously as you can imagine this is extremely disturbing as this comes from someone’s ear where bacteria is. I called them and explained the situation and they went back and forth lying to me saying my order didn’t exist and that this was NOT the main street location and I had the wrong place. Then after about 10 minutes of back and forth I said once again, is this the main street location in which the lady followed with yes. I told them about the earring and they said “ok we’ll talk to the manager” no manager has spoken to me or contacted me and my next steps will be reporting them to our local health department. this is beyond disgusting and I am incredibly disappointed. If you are reading this review I suggest going to the Fischer location as I have had no problems with service or food quality.

Husband picked up “food” from Taco Tastic on Main Street in Toms River. That was supposed to be flautas. I took one bite and told him it tastes burned, took another bite and the “chicken” fell out. It was hard as a rock! The whole thing was uneatable.
We went back, I opened the container, picked the piece of “chicken” and asked the girl “what’s this?”. No need to say that I got my money back and will never get shit food from there again!
They probably thought they would get away with it because it was a takeout and a lot of people will not bother to drive back to the restaurant.

I was spoiled by San Diego for having great Mexican food being close to the border. My review maybe biased but come on! My nacho supreme was half the serving size of what I get in California. Who puts cheese whiz on nacho? Where’s the queso blanco? My carnitas burrito had the right flavor but half of it was rice and beans. The beef taco was gray, dry and tasted like turkey with no spices. The salsa was cold and congealed. The worse part is, it is way expensive for the quality you get. If you are looking for authenticity, this is not the place. The staff was nice and friendly. One of them even went to our table to chat with us. The place was clean. Love the murals on the walls and the bathroom was clean.

Placed an order using the Taco-tastic website. Pickup location was the one on Rt 37. Order went thru, credit card charged. Went to pick it up and there was a sign on the window, “closed today”
Then just this week order placed via grubhub. Order confirmed, card charged, went to pick it up from the Main St location and this time they had not received the order from Grub Hub(so I was told).
Person at the counter was unconcerned and so seems the owner.
It’s a shame because we like the food.
Prior to posting this I tried contacting the owner to discuss these issues. Haven’t heard back.
