First time here. Got a chimichanga plate which was the same with 2 sides as it was a special as the one by itself so I got the rice and beans with it.
Very good food for cafeteria style , the inside is nothing to really look at however they do have fresh salsas that were real good and the chimichanga had that nice shredded beef in it. I dont get the bad reviews. This is very passable food. It’s what I call classic Chicano delicious food. I personally prefer THIS food to the stuff closest to what they make in Mexico. It’s more flavorful. And under $12!

Every part of my order was wrong and I asked for no sour cream on fries about 5 times and it was completely covered in sour cream. Also my entire taco was filled with cheese and barely any meat, same with burrito. I took a bite and it was just all shredded cheese not even melted. Just tortilla and cheese. The whole burrito was all cheese The last time I went there they completely forgot to put in my son’s tacos and we had to go back. Their food used to be pretty good. It’s kinda pricey though when you don’t get what you pay for

I ordered a breakfast burrito and it was very good. The salsa’s that it came with were great and had a nice kick. One of the best breakfast burritos in the area. I’ll definitely come back.

Drive through worker took my card instead of letting me swipe it so she could tip herself 20%. When I called she denied it but then offered to give me my money back if I came back. I’m not turning around for $2 but it’s the principal and the fact doing that is illegal and can get someone bank account overdrafted bc you never know if someone is spending their last $15 on food. Acting like she has no idea how it happened while simultaneously telling me she’d refund it tells me she knows exactly what she did wrong but still didn’t wanna take accountability. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s done this to other people. I’m sorry but expecting me to tip for you handing me a bag of fast food is ridiculous and tipping yourself 20% is theft.

I placed an order for 3 spicy chicken tacos in the drive through May 3rd at 12:15AM.
While eating the second taco I bit down on something really hard and hurt my two front teeth. I pulled this long, misshapen, sharp pointy toothpick out of my mouth. This thing was in my Taco and hurt my mouth/teeth! Also this was just really alarming and gross. I immediately called the Taco Star and asked to speak to a manager. A lady handed the phone of to a male who then was very weird over the phone. He refused to answer my questions about it or where it came from. He did not offer any apologies or attempt to provide and reasons of why or how the toothpick got into the taco or where it came from. He just kept repeating “what tacos do you want ” over and over then said he understood my questions but still wouldn’t answer them. It was bizarre. I asked if the toothpick came from someone’s mouth and he calmly responded, “YES” then again asked what tacos i wanted. I don’t know I am disappointed and grossed out with my treatment and the whole ordeal. This is not acceptable or safe.I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen if so. Be warned.

If you’re hammered and need some late night grub, it’s not too bad. Otherwise, the flavors are bland, the cheese inside a burrito or enchiladas are always cold and never melted. The beans are way over salted. And the breakfast burritos have way too much potato. You’re practically paying for potato and tortilla.

This is the second time I ordered chicken enchilada plate and they gave me cheese enchiladas. The first time I thought they may be misheard me to the intercom. But the second time I ordered the number 3 chicken enchilada plate combo. There was an ounce of chicken on the plate. Might as well go to Taco Bell. They actually give you What you order? I appreciate that they’re open late, but if they can’t give you what you order ams still just take my money, I will no longer be going to this establishment.
