I tried this place on a recommendation from a friend, and I am so glad I did. The restaurant is lively, warm, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The bartenders, Nini and Won, are incredibly attentive and personable, and the entire staff makes you feel right at home.
The food is outstanding. So far, I’ve had the taquitos and most of the tacos, and honestly, it’s a must to try them all. The chips come with a bean dip topped with queso, which sets the tone immediately. There is also a salsa bar!The black beans are amazing, they taste just like abuelita made them. Everything is beautifully presented and packed with flavor.
Simple ingredients done right always make the best food, and this place proves it. Definitely worth stopping in.

I saw on a FB group someone meantime this place as authentic MexiCali food. I’m not sure I’d call it that but it was good. First, extremely clean. We went after the normal lunch time so it wasn’t busy. Our server was very polite and offered a meal selection after my questions. The hubby had their Tacos Cancun. The chipotle was perfect and not overwhelming. I always try enchiladas when first trying a new Mexican restaurant. I ordered their number 8 that was an enchilada and a tamal. I ordered chicken, which was flavorful and tender. The was not quite what I had a taste for. Both were covered with what I believe was their ranchero sauce, a bit overwhelming. I prefer pork tamales with the masa a bit firmer and the pork saucy. But, that’s just me. I’m always willing to try them as well at a new place. Overall, great lunch and I’m still amazed at the cleanliness. Great job to the staff for that!

Our family stopped by this location on our way home. We were not disappointed at all. This restaurant is extremely authentic and very tasteful. All the meals we had were excellent. The fajitas were very good. Highly recommend them also had the Malibu Barbie and alcoholic beverage that was very tasteful. The staff was exceptional. Very kind and patient with the small kiddos. I really recommend anything on the menu considering everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Definitely will be stopping by here again.

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The menu had no descriptions of the dishes, only pictures, our waiter didn’t speak English, so I ordered based on the photo. What I received looked completely different, it was more like a soup than a prepared dish. I politely asked to speak the manager, he became very rude and started yelling at me instead of trying to resolve the issue. he said the only difference between my plate and the plate on the menu was that the plate on the menu was square and mine is round . The restroom wasn’t working and toilet couldn’t be flushed. The outdoor patio area was cramped, and although it’s dog friendly, overall atmosphere was unpleasant due to how the manager handled the situation. It definitely not the kind of service or experience I expected. I would highly recommend NOT going to this restaurant. if I could put zero stars I would. Terrible management I would actually describe him as a bully. Here are the pictures of what I ordered. On the left is what I received and on the right is what was on the menu. Judge for yourself and please avoid this terrible experience ! There are plenty of nice restaurants in Walhalla area!

My girlfriend and I stopped by after a pretty epic hike. She usually tasks me with finding a restaurant on the way back home and wants to know the reviews. We came across a review left by the insufferable Donna. Donna criticized the wonderful staff of El Agave for “not being able to speak English.” Well, after reading Donna’s review, I was astounded as she couldn’t have been more wrong. Donna, I hope you read this. You are a mean person. How dare you criticize anyone’s English when your own lack of mastery of the language is out there for all to see. I award you zero points, Donna. But I have bought you a lifetime subscription to Rosetta Stone so you can learn more English. You need it.
To the wonderful staff of El Agave, thank you so much for such friendly service and simply amazing food. My girlfriend and I just adored it. I am sorry you have to put up with mean people. You are wonderful. You are not alone.

Food was delicious along with my great service. Our waiter couldn’t have been anymore attentive and even though there was a small language barrier, he still got us squared away fast and efficiently. Our new favorite ‘hidden gem’ Mexican spot!

1st time! We will be back. The service was great! Our server had the BEST personality and was very tentative. I’m not a fan of a salsa bar because I don’t trust humans or kids. I did like the salsa verde. The tacos had wonderful flavor. Super fresh tortillas. We will be back. Thank you for this amazing experience.

We had the best meal and service last night! We are patrons of the one in Seneca but we live in Six Mile so this new location is so convenient for us. This location also has a beautiful large bar area where you can just have cocktails or eat a meal. Our waitress was so nice and friendly and checked on us several times. The menu is fantastic and offers a lot of seafood options and specialty items. The margaritas are not only delicious but beautiful too! I had the Cabo Tacos with grilled fish and a side of black beans…absolutely delicious! We also ordered 2 deserts for the table: Flan and Fried Ice Cream. OMG the deserts were amazing! I’m so happy to have this great restaurant near us!!

We came to have a nice dinner feb 15, we were seated and ordered drinks, our server came to take our order, I ordered taco rindos tacos, I asked if I get 2 or 3 she said unhu. So told her two supposed to get rice and beans, the two tacos came with meat no onions no cheese and no rice and beans. I don’t think the server can read English menu.
