The tortillas were kinda hard and the meat was cold even though I waited over 10 minutes or more and there was no one everyone had left. I always come here and hardly have any issues but I guess today was the day. I tried going back to exchange it but it was kinda late to go back.

I always love coming to Taco Palenque whenever I visit Laredo. Any location is awesome in my experience.
We always order the fajitas platter which comes with rice, beans, avocado and lettuce to share with unlimited salsa, Pico de gallo, chips, etc from the bar. There is always an over abundance of food and its always delicious.

“I went to get some red chilaquiles and I asked for extra tortillas, but they didn’t put them in. They didn’t give me a fork or a spoon either—just two salsas, one pico de gallo, and one burnt item. When I told them I didn’t like pico de gallo and asked the cashier at the window for chips instead, she got annoyed and made faces at me. On top of that, I had to wait more than 18 minutes, and the person who brought my order out was visibly upset and walking like nobody was even waiting. Terrible service.
Now that they’re parking cars outside, everything is slower. Fifteen years ago they didn’t do this and the service was much faster. They claim to be a franchise, but it’s a franchise that only causes mistakes.”

I call BS on an simple taco being $8. BS on a “mixed parillada plate for 4” when it is more like for 2.
Taco Palenque these days seems to be more in the skimming business instead of their core business. They seem to be more interested in squeezing out every penny possible to build even more TPs. Given how much they are prospering you’d think they’d adjust and give maybe 1 or 2 more ounce of meat or charge $1 or $2 less. The prices and portions here have become utterly absurd.
We have been customers for decades and have noticed many unfortunate changes. The plates and sides have become deceiving. Our sirloin came with onions on the bottom AND torts making it seem like it was heavy or full of meat. The guacamole is essentially lettuce with a small scoop of Avacado spread on the top…. Little things like this. Very saddened by this. And it’s not “the times”. I am a business owner myself and I know not to be greedy.
We’d leave more stars but it’s unfair paying $50, coming all the way home then have family piece a tiny meal together. Or paying $8 for a single taco with less than 4 ounces of meat.
Please do better Taco Palenque. We miss the old TP.

Ordered a family barbacoa and was not given the beans or tortillas which were supposed to have came with the order. Didnt wanna go back cuz it was a 30 minutes drive. I dont know if they verify that all the food is in the bag before handing to the customer but was very disappointed in this visit.

This place is a staple. Love the little playground and the ambience. However. Recently went and was going to do an order on the app, but there was no line so there I go. I felt like I was over charged for the cheese and the drink. When I asked about it the lady explained that that was the cost. I asked about the cost of the drink and she said that’s what the cost is when I wanted the smaller glass. 2.99. “Well that’s what it is.” And then 1.64 for a pinch of cheese when online was listed for .75 cents. That’s why I asked about the price because online they’re different. While some employees are awesome this one seemed to have been having a bad day and was not pleasant. While my tacos were delicious and well served I was still annoyed by the attitude.

This place was awesome! 24 hour authentic and fresh Mexican food. Salsa bar, bottomless chips and free refills on horchata. We got the enchilada plate and steak burrito combo which came with pinto beans.. the beans are cooked with ham though for those who don’t eat pork

The worst tp. The only location that the cashier has to prepare the to go orders as well. They sometimes have them their sitting 15+ mins because they’re just attending the long lines. Horrible policy here

Ok I went through the drive thru for lunch. Ordered 4 al pastor street tacos with charro beans and chip &salsa with a drink. I also asked for a small container of tomatillo salsa for the tacos. Service was fast enough however my meal charge was more than I expected about $18. After I got back to the hotel I opened the bag. The chips were missing and I got 2 orders of charro beans which is alot of beans but they were very tasty, thanks. I did recieve every condiment conceivable and was surprised and a little overwhelmed. Overall the tacos were great I would definitely get them again and a 6 pack of them next time. This was a very good experience but could have been great if the order was correct. I did not mind the extra $3 for the second charro beans as I ate them.
