Taco Mucho is a fun, family owned restaurant located at 220 Harrison street in the Oak Park Arts District. We serve fresh tacos on handmade tortillas, fresh fruit margaritas, and other Mexican specialties. We are open for lunch and dinner from 11:30am until 8pm Tuesday through Saturday. A great new addition to the neighborhood. This well-lit, inviting space has decor, friendly staff, reasonable prices and delicious food. The corn tortillas they use for the tacos live up to the hype; they’re slightly chewy and hold up very well with the decadent fillings, so they’re not falling apart even if you add (lots of) one of their salsas. A return trip, we tried the rice bowl and the torta, both of which were also good (but the tacos were hard to beat). It looks like they have a walk-up window, so I can’t wait to see what they are up to as the weather improves.

Paid almost $20 for a marg to go. It was just sugared juice. I am a lightweight and didn’t even have food. Sugared juice. If you want to grow your business, you might want to be honest with your products. I could have simply gotten fruit juice from Jewel for $4.

More like 3.5 stars. The ambiance and service is 5 stars. Clean place with cool vibes. But the food is more like 3… It’s cool. Looks great but lacks big flavor. Might be perfect for some. Also a bit overpriced but expected for the area – I can only imagine the rent costs. Probably would go back for like a group thing. Happy we checked it out.

I was looking forward to Taco Mucho opening. It’s bringing much needed options down in the arts district of oak park! While I was disappointed that they were out of steak I was very happy with all the options provided. My two favorites was actually the mushroom & sweet potato as well as the fish. Beautiful bold flavors and you can’t go wrong with the homemade tortillas to really make the food shine. I’m looking forward to going back and trying all the awesome options listed that were sold out by the time I went. The margaritas on the rocks were all phenomenal (and yes I tried all 3 flavors…. For science) but be warned they all were so good that before you know it the drinks get you . This place can only go upwards as they find their groove and settle into the space. They were a little overwhelmed service wise but nothing to take a star away. Looking forward to seeing what amazing things this place will do.

So far so good. I expected chaos for an opening but it was anything but. Hospitality here is OFF THE CHARTS. Taco game is super strong. I recommend the steak or chicken after trying them all. But the fish was a big surprise hit as well. I fully expect this spot to settle in to a must go spot. Vibe is amazing. Get it!!
