Established in 1991, Taco Mesa has been offering contemporary cuisine honoring our ancestors, our bodies and the earth. Our menu features GMO-free corn infused with herbs and spices from our in-house organic Tortilleria. Whenever possible, we use wild caught and responsible seafood guided by Seafood Watch, greens from local sustainable, organic and regenerative farms and humanely raised meats. We are committed to recycling and composting along with using earth-friendly, biodegradable USA-made products.

I used to eat at the original location in Costa Mesa and the food was great. I ordered a taco plate with crispy tacos. The tacos were in green shells and filled with white cheese. Did not like at all.

Ordered takeout tonight. Tacos were subpar. Hardly any meat in 4 of the 6. (Maybe a tablespoon scoop) Paid extra to have cheese added to the al pastor, no cheese. Ordered two sides of rice and beans and they only gave me one. Thankfully checked that before I left and they looked at me annoyed then double checked the ticket and said, “Oh. Sorry.”, while handing me two to go containers with them. Was not sincere whatsoever. Tacos were ok. But will not be returning.
