Cute spot. Awsome hospitality, food was good. Ww got the three tacos with rice & beans combo along with the margarita flight. Drinks were not strong, taste more like juice to me but that could just be me. Overall a calm spot for some good grub

Our first time here and we may have just found our go-to Mexican spot! An interesting mix of traditional tacos and Indian inspired tacos available. I went with the birria and Nashville hot chicken tacos and would order both again! My partner ordered the chicken 65, chicken tikka, and shrimp (oops, consumed before the pic) and loved all of them. They offer complimentary chips and warm salsa and also have a great salsa bar; do yourself a favor and try the jalapeño hot salsa! The salsa bar was kept immaculately clean. They also have a fountain Coke machine that you serve yourself from. The rice and beans were also delicious and the beans are halal friendly.

This was truly fantastic. Not only was it incredibly quick but flavor profiles were on point. Our server was kind and attentive, even gave us a free drink cup. I rec their signature taco with pineapple if you go.

Solid Mexican food with lots of seating! I got the chicken burrito which was good and the salsas were delicious. The food came out pretty quick and it was a great place to chat for a while.

The food was good, the carnitas tacos was very good, the chicken tacos were cut a bit chunky but tasty. The chips and salsa were very good. The chips were warm (definite plus) and the salsa was just right. Did I mention the salsa bar, a bar full of different salsas to try out. My only issue was they preferred we order from our phone as opposed to placing our order at the register. Will be back.

Absolutely amazing! I tried the samosa tacos, and they were out of this world — the perfect blend of Indian spice and Mexican flair. The crispy samosa filling paired with the corn tortillas and fresh toppings created such a unique, flavorful combo. Every bite was bursting with flavor. You can really tell they put thought and heart into this fusion.

Ate $11.99 lunch special, 3 tacos with rice and beans. Had tacos done traditional Mexican style. Simple tacos done right at a good price. The al pastor one was the best. Comes with chips and salsa, there is a sauce bar.

Taco Maya in Chicago is a hidden gem for anyone craving flavorful, fresh, and satisfying tacos. From the moment you step inside, the casual yet welcoming atmosphere makes it clear that this is the kind of spot where food takes center stage. The tacos here stand out for their bold flavors and high-quality ingredients. Each tortilla is warm and perfectly soft, creating the ideal base for a variety of fillings that range from tender, well-seasoned meats to fresh, vibrant vegetarian options. Whether you prefer something classic like carne asada or something a bit more unique, Taco Maya consistently delivers tacos that are both hearty and delicious.
One of the biggest highlights of Taco Maya is its hours. Chicago is a city that never quite sleeps, and Taco Maya fits right in by staying open late. This makes it an excellent option for night owls, shift workers, or anyone who finds themselves hungry after a long night out. There’s something special about biting into a freshly made taco at midnight or later, when most other kitchens in the city have already closed. The late hours add a level of convenience and reliability that regulars have come to appreciate.
Service at Taco Maya is quick and friendly, ensuring you don’t have to wait long to enjoy your meal, even during busier times. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. Overall, Taco Maya isn’t just a late-night spot—it’s a go-to destination for some of the best tacos in Chicago. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in with friends, you’ll leave satisfied and planning your next visit.

I initially ordered the tacos and asked for no cilantro, and when they came out they were covered in cilantro – unfortunately I have that soap gene so it tastes like dish soap to me. I let them know that it was supposed to be no cilantro, and they took it back and redid it right away! And it tasted amazing! I love their sauce bar too. Food service was pretty quick as well.

We were looking for somewhat quick food as we had to get back to our hotel, which was within walking distance. We wanted to go to the world famous pizza place nearby, but that was a 1 1/2 wait! We found this little place and glad we did. There was a line to order, but it was pretty quick and really didn’t know what I wanted.
I had the enchiladas with red mole sauce. I’m use to regular choc mole sauce, but this was different. It was so good. It was a bit of a wait, but they made everything fresh.
I really liked their sauce bar, where you could try a little bit of everything.
Did I mention that ambiance was bright and clean! Everyone there was glad we stopped by… we did too !!
