By far the cleanest Taco John’s I have eaten at and I have been to several locations in and around the KC area. Every employee was extremely kind and helpful but one stood out to me and that was the lady running around wiping everything down and keeping it really sanitary. She even pulled tables out and cleaned underneath them when people left. You just don’t see that much attention to detail in the fast food industry. Hats off to that team and hopefully corporate sees how well it’s ran.

Stopped at Taco John’s Drive-thru to pick up lunch for my parents on our way to visit at my mom’s request, which surprised me! Never knew they had ever had it. She wanted taco salads! I’ve been going since I could drive (1982), and have always ordered Super Nachos, extra meat and Potato Olés. This day was no exception. Everything was a little different than I recalled, but it’s probably been 10-20 years since I’ve been here, and everything changes, sooner or later. Drive-thru had no cars in front of us so we were able to order immediately. 10 minutes later…we were on our way. Potato Olés were hot and the best thing in the bag that day. Not as buttery as I recalled, but still delicious. Parents both enjoyed their taco salads. Nice nostalgic visit! Stock pic.

Tried the new fried chicken queso soft tacos, not great at all! 2 little pieces of grisly chicken tenders, there was more lettuce than anything. Super Nachos were mediocre, quality of food has went down!

They asked me if I wanted cheese sauce for my Oles. I said yes, absolutely. They charged me for my cheese sauce. But then, I made the classic mistake of not checking the bag before driving off. No cheese sauce. Ultimately, it’s my fault. I should have known they wouldn’t give me my cheese sauce. And what am I supposed to do now, let my food get cold while I go back for the sauce? I just wanted my sauce. I haven’t been to Taco John’s in months. Won’t be back for months. All because of cheese.
