Last evening on our way home from hunting my brother and stopped at Taco John’s in Winner SD. we ordered two Boss Steak bowls and one iced tea (bill was nearly 24 dollars). Got home, opened the STEAK BOWL and you could count the pieces of STEAK on one hand and have fingers left over. It was nothing but rice and beans with a splash of sour cream. PURE GARBAGE and a complete waste of money! Both went in the trash and we will never be back!!

We ordered our meal, it was fine. By the time we got home. I just had to look at the receipt, because it seemed a little high. Well I used my Taco John app:, to redeem my churro, so it took it off the receipt, but I also gave that person the $10.00 in cash towards my bill and whatever is left use the credit card. Well, he didn’t deduct the $10.00 in cash. But used my credit card to pay for the total amount. So when we rolled up, my hubby said that we gave you a 10.00 in cash and what ever the remaining is, use the credit card. Well “HE” apologize and he reached down his pants pocket to give my $10.00 back. Very upset. So basically he was stealing. 7/8/2025

Just went through the drive thru and ordered the combo for the chicken fiesta tacos, MEDIUM, I got SMALL oles that were very old and cold, ( which seems to be the norm for that place), and the tacos looked nothing like the picture and had 3 small bits of chicken in them, the taco salad barely had meat in it, and was less than half full. Do people not take pride in their work anymore? Or just not care? Cost 22$ and definitely wasn’t worth it!! I took pics, but dont know if i can share on here.Oh and let me tell you how friendly they were…….

So the 1 star is because you do NOT get the BOGO deal. They charge you full price which makes me wonder if employees are putting the discount in later and cashing in…
However, I got a grilled chicken burrito last night and it was absolutely amazing. Sucks they overcharged but got damn that burrito was fire.

Traveling thru town we found TJ on Google Maps. They had BOGO $1 super burritos on Maps. I showed this to the server and was told it’s no good. Why is it Advertised if it’s not good? We also asked for no onions. It states on receipt No onion but both burritos had onions! The food was ok, but I would not recommend this fast food after all this aggravation. They should have authorized this deal then report it to the owner & make our food as ordered without onions. Instead they get a negative review. We usually love TJs and stop there to eat when traveling.

We ordered a super burrito and meat/potato burrito with a drink on their BOGO for a dollar special. Got to window to pay and was told $19.00! Told them that was incorrect. She rerang the order after getting help, now price was $29.00!!! Said no thank you and drove off.

Hours not posted. Was in drive thru at 10 pm on a Tuesday night. A car was in front of us at the window. No one answered us. Two more vehicles pulled up behind us. All lights on. Pulled forward. Girl was had cash drawer open and counting money.

My order was 4 hard shell tacos and 4 beef and bean burrito no onions. I got home with 4 hard shell tacos for my husband. No burritos. Just as bad as McDonald’s in winner sd. I shouldn’t have to check my order before I leave. I will drive to chamberlain SD that does customer service wat better. We are done in winner sd
