I go here often because milbank doesnt have a lot of options. Theres always a problem. The staff clearly hate their jobs and it shows in their customer service. Im not one to complain but after today I’ve finally had enough. I ordered steak, paid for it, got home and realized they gave me bacon. I asked for hot sauce and they gave me original taco sauce. I keep hot suace at home mainly because this taco johns never gives you sauce and if you check the bag and ask, they get annoyed with you.

If you thought TJs chips couldn’t get any more stale, try this location – never once had what I considered “good” chips. I’ve had chips from my car floor that were better than this last time. Taco burger bun was so tough it squeezed every ounce of filling out of it by the time I got my teeth through it. At best this place is adequate; at worst it is throw-away.

I drove 40 miles round trip to get supper. I was asked to pull up further to wait longer due to my large order. I got home to find out that they forgot two of my items. I called to say I’d be coming back but it would take me 20 minutes, there was no apology. I had to wait again because they didn’t write down from my phone call what I was missing so I had to tell them at the window. I got my food, a “sorry!” And slammed drive thru window in my face before I left. Will not be back.

After being denied service by another establishment in town after the glow run this past weekend, we headed over to Taco John’s for dinner. There were about 15 of us in our group and only two working at the time. They not once seemed annoyed that we came in at 8:40pm and promptly provided us with great food and service!

It seems every time we order we’re missing something. Not sure where the disconnect is coming from. The order is repeated back.
There’s inconsistency in product as well. Sometimes it’s great, other times it’s so skimpy it’s like eating a shell with a smear of fillings. Amazing that even lettuce is hardly there.
I worked at a Taco John’s for several years and understand the concept of portion control, food costs, etc. Getting these consistent is a win for the customers and the business.
However, the staff is always pleasant and have great customer service skills. Which is awesome. And makes every visit good despite the food inconsistencies.

My mom, sister, and I went through the drive thru, ordered our food and was asked to pull forward after paying. Sure, we did and a moment later a young worker comes out with one bag of food, we said that we were missing stuff and showed him what we were missing on the receipt. He then argued that it wasn’t on the screen so he and the other guy didn’t make it. We kindly asked them to make what we were missing since we paid for it. They did, but after he argued. When he went in we realized we were missing one more thing so I went in. The kid still was saying it’s not on the screen and I showed him on the receipt but he looked at the screen anyways and I saw it all on the screen. He and the other kid finished making what we were missing and another younger female worker walked from the lobby past me to go to the back and told a younger male to follow her to the back. The male followed her and he was not wearing the taco John’s attire as well as had a whole bag of food with him. This taco John’s has gone so far down hill since I was there a few months back. New management? Doesn’t seem they’re doing their job.

I’m a lifelong TJ’s fan, but this location specifically got my attention with how friendly and accomodating the staff was, despite appearing to be the only one working at the time. Not only did he go out of his way, unprompted, to fix an issue they were having so I could have the coffee I wanted, but he later came out just to ask how everything was after we had gotten our food. I’m ashamed that I don’t recall his name now, because he did a phenominal job. Morning of 2/11/25, about 9am.

My husband just ordered food here and his potatoe ole’s were SOAKED in grease. So much so, that he had to toss them out. They were all stuck together in one grease ball like the workers took them out of the fryer and never let them drain off. So disgusting and unhealthy. I didn’t order myself because anytime I do, it’s just a disappointment. Waste of money.
