The food was absolutely disgusting. I normally never complain about my food but it wasn’t even edible. The oil must of been a not changed in a while. And also the owner wasn’t very friendly either about having to refund me back some money on my order. Was not impressed at all with her customer service skills at all. I will give her employees a 5 star review. They were all real friendly and understanding. Great customer service from those other two guys. I won’t be going back there. I wish I would have taken photos of my food before they tossed it.

This Taco John’s was very well maintained when we stopped in. Place was cleaner than most fast food establishments tend to be. The food was fast and as ordered. The real gem of this 5 star review was how friendly and kind the staff was. They were attentive, funny, and genuinely easy to deal with.

I was there today. Asked for 6 beef soft shell with only tomatoes. Got it wrong the lady was mad. Made my order again. I got nothing inside my tacos. Hardly any meat and tomatoes. And she dropped my food on counter.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. The lady who’s manager started screaming at me while taking my order (I asked to talk to a manager) Should have been my first warning to takeoff. Missing things from my order. I will NEVER go there again rather drive the grand forks for taco John.

A few years ago when I first moved to TRF, this Taco John’s was in rough shape- staff and food were severely lacking. I don’t know what happened, but I’d say the last 3 months since I’ve moved back to town, the food and staff is great; and probably beats every other fast food joint in town at this point, quality and staff combined. Arby’s used to be the best but now they’ve become the worst oddly enough. I love their breakfast burritos and their spicy chicken and potato griller, as well as the fried chicken tacos or burritos- yum! All the food always come out freshly made to order so it’s nice to know the food isn’t cold and hard anymore like it was years ago- you could tell the food had been sitting. Glad to see the big improvements at this place. Keep it up!

The staff here is great and hardworking, provide very fast service, and are professional and upbeat! The team also works really well together, and they all seem to have great working relationships and to genuinely enjoy working alongside one another 🙂
There are occasional deals and free loyalty rewards available for users of the TJ’s mobile app, which are helpful for getting more bang for your buck. And the food, in large part, is Delicious, full of flavor, and always cooked fresh-to-order! (Though I have received extremely stale and inedible tortilla chips on a couple occasions in the past when I’d ordered nacho food items.)
But overall, I Highly recommend this restaurant, and Love the potato olés!! And I’ll also say that I like Taco John’s food better/more than that of Taco Bell restaurants. And our local TRF location Far exceeds and surpasses the speed, service, and quality of food served at the Grand Forks location, hands down!!
(*As a few suggestions for the owner or store manager, I would recommend: a tad bit brighter lighting in the portion of the dine-in area that’s across from the counter; a fresh coat of paint in the entryway that’s by the parking lot; and maybe some pleasant pop or Latin music playing softly in the background for those dining in.)

I got two combo meals of the queso grilled chicken boss burrito. More then halfway through the burrito and all I’ve had is straight up cheese and some rice. And the burrito is soggy. $22 for a bunch of cheese and rice! The oles were also so salty I couldn’t eat them. Cooked right but way too salty.
EDIT: I called about the burrito, and they told me the queso grilled chicken is supposed to be soupy with cheese… that’s a wonderful description for a burrito by the way. But regardless. My order had the corn and Pico, and grilled chicken. None of which were located in either of our burritos. But the owner himself said they were “built” correctly and would do nothing about it.
