Place is a joke, soggy oles and terrible tacos. If you want some cheese and lettuce tacos with a tiny bit of soup meat, this is your place. This has been a recurring issue. Hardly any Meat and packed with lettuce. Taco shells soggy and went from the drive thru to “eat” in back of the lot to basically throw it all away.

First time here. Had super burrito and tacos both served with warm cheese and nachos. They were both good. A small fountain drink included in combo price. Normal wait time although they were Busy both inside and at driveup. Clean tables and restrooms. Large TV inside was playing at an elevated volume, workers were nice. Recommend this place for a quick bite.

We first tried Taco John’s years ago, stopping at their location in Coralville near the U of I campus. So happy to find this new location to visit when we’re in the area.
Drive-thru was efficient. Customer service was friendly. Carry-out food was exactly as ordered.
We appreciate that we’re not charged extra for our tacos made with beans instead of beef. And each taco had generous amounts of beans and cheese, topped with lettuce.
We will be back!

Food was very soggy. I got the nachos but the way that they’re put in there by the time you start eating they just fold over too much nacho cheese

Employees are always friendly. The food quality is going downhill though. Everything is too salty, the potato oles are inedible unless you dip them in something and the taco meat is too salty as well.

I came here at 1:20 pm on June 22, 2024 went through the drive through, ordered two bean burritos with nothing on them except beans, and absolutely no cheese and I quote saying “can you make sure there is no cheese at all, it’ll kill me” I don’t say that lightly because taco John’s has screwed it up before at this location where they put a ton of cheese on my burrito. So when I opened up my burrito to find the outside of the burrito with cheese on it I wasn’t very happy. I love eating here but, running the risk of losing my life because the people running the place don’t understand what no cheese means is a hard risk to take. The woman taking my order even reassured me that it would be just beans. I have anaphylactic shock to all dairy products and I’m not trying to die. They put to remove cheese on the order but clearly not. I know it’s not much cheese on it, but even the slightest would have a lasting impact on my life.
