I don’t know how this place has 4.8 stars Tacos were horrible. The lettuce were wilted and soggy. They got my order wrong. I order the super taco and got regular tacos. I gave one star only because the potatoes were good.

Solid food but I could feel how cold some of the ingredients were before I ate it.
I also had trouble with ordering on the tablet because there was so many customization items that I accidentally added an extra side of sauce.

Taco John’s just opened this past Thursday in Downtown Crossing, and I’m really impressed. Opening a taco spot right across from Taco Bell is a bold move, but they absolutely deliver.
The food is incredibly fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Everything I tried was delicious, and it came out really quickly. The staff was kind and helpful, and the bathrooms were very clean — always a good sign.
I’ll definitely be back. It’s a great new addition to the area, and totally worth checking out.
