I was looking forward to trying out Taco John’s since they opened and finally got the chance unfortunately my kids and I were highly disappointed. The inside is so small it feels like you’re standing in a hallway while you’re waiting to order. There was 1 car at the drive thru and 1 person ahead of us. We waited almost 15 before the employee came over to take their order. It seemed like the cashier was the only person there. But there could have been someone in the kitchen cooking. No way more than 2 people were working for the amount of time it took to order and receive our food. 25 minutes After ordering a quesadilla, 2 burritos and a taco we finally received them. The lettuce on the taco was starting to turn and was slightly brown. The potatoes that came with the combos were soggy as all hell , the quesadilla wasn’t bad except for the extra grease that came with it and the best part was the side of hair my son got with his burrito.

We drove to taco john’s for some lunch and when we arrived we decided to go to the lobby instead of the drive through, after being in the lobby waiting for 20min even after one of the employees saying we will be right with you. We end up decided to you know lets go to drive through maybe it will be different but nope!! We went to drive through place our order and the girl refused to even speak to us when we arrived at the drive through window to pay she just took our payment and then pointed to where we had our car parked at the first time and just basically signaled us to go back there. We parked our car and was still waiting! it got to the point where we had to go in and grab our own food and the girl was so rude didn’t wanna give us our drinks and still got everything wrong. We definitely will not be going back and also advised everyone and anyone when they even mention this place….very disappointing

Straight up, it’s just an unpleasant place to go. A simple 2 combo order took 37 minutes and we were still missing things. I understand there was limited staff but when the store is empty, there’s no reason to take that long. The food is pretty mediocre, taco bell is better imo, but the hash brown potato things were incredibly good.

If you like Taco Bell tacos, you’ll like Taco John’s, too. I got two standard beef tacos – they were filled with a salty, bland “meat slush” and the hard shells were entirely soggy by the time I got home 10 minutes later. The Pepsi was good, though.

After placing a online order for pick up at the drive-through I was told to park my car in the lot as the food will take a few extra minutes. Instead I parked and went inside the restaurant. After waiting another five minutes I was given an order after sitting back in my vehicle I checked what was inside the bag and the order was missing two softshell tacos and then walked back into the restaurant and explained to the staff the situation. The register staff member comments “ oh yes, that was because there was another order with two soft shells”. Another staff member acknowledges the situation turns to take care of a drive-through order then ask the kitchen staff for the two soft shell tacos. As I was standing at the registers, I could hear the conversation in the kitchen as one employee says “they just say that so they can get free tacos”. After waiting 10 minutes for the food, I placed online 25 minutes prior, and I receive a bag which was not obviously checked by an employee before it was handed to myself, per the first comment made by the register employee. After reaching my destination, and opening the bag to have said tacos, I regret going back for the two soft shells, took one bite of a hard shell, and one bite of a soft shell. The taco quality/taste was insulting and genuinely disposed of all the food. But hey it wasn’t all losses, I was able to drink my under carbonated under flavored Dr Pepper. This was my first visit to taco John and it will certainly be my last.

So happy that Taco John’s is now in New England! Every time we travel to the Midwest we always include a stop at TJ’s. Much better value and better products than TB. The Potato Ole’s are the best along with the burritos (breakfast or otherwise). It’s not a local Tex-Mex place and is fast food but better than the other fast food options. Just get the Potato Ole’s! My only suggestion – expand your locations!

$38 for four of us to eat and had lots of leftovers. Good quality, especially the steak. The whole family is happy for the rest of the ride home.
