We Dine-in Saturday evening. Place was super clean, staff was friendly & the food was delicious! The chicken had amazing flavor, the tripas where super clean and crispy, the fajita were tender and delicious & the green salsa was fire.. and the kids loved the gorditas & hamburgers 10/10 recommend. Reasonable prices!

Best Restaurant in all of Jones Creek. Great food, friendly staff and clean. The 40 street tacos for less then 40 bucks was a great deal and were amazing. The green sauce was extra spicy but great. Just be prepared to drink some extra water if you try it if your taste buds are like mine.

Definitely the place to stop on your drive to the Gulf!

Man, I really wanted to like this place but when I got hit got 12.99 per house frozen margarita with no extras just salt and lime. I knew it was not the place for me. Food was ight. Nothing to complain about. Don’t even wanna know what a premium margarita costs.

So I looked over the menu which has a good selection of almost all the typical Mexican restaurants anywhere in south texas. I settled on beef fajita enchiladas. I’m not sure why the restaurants do this but they use diced beef and call it fajitas! These are not fajitas enchiladas they are carne asada. The same meat they put on their carne asada tacos. If you order fajitas, they bring you fajitas not carne asada. $13 for this plate….i can’t believe the cost of food these days! This plate would have been $8 4 years ago. Way over priced and definitely not what anyone considers fajitas. Change the menu or put actual fajitas in the enchiladas. First pic what I got second pic what I consider fajitas.

Edit : gave another try this morning for breakfast tacos. I ordered 2 bean and cheese with bacon tacos. $8?? Way over priced food and they are very small tacos. Won’t be going back. Way over priced for Mexican food.

Ok tried again. Third time I figured it would be a better experience. Was just as disappointed. Don’t get me wrong. As far as taste goes there is no issue. Food taste good but my problem this time was the wrong order and price again. I asked what they had for taco salads she told me beef, beef fajita, chicken fajita and shredded chicken. I said ok let me have the beef fajita. And a Dr Pepper. Total? $18.56…this is absolutely insane! I get home open it up and it’s chicken fajita. I mean you’re charging these high prices atleast get the order right. It wasn’t packed either. Look I’m all for helping local businesses right but to what end are these businesses going to push prices to where it just isn’t worth going to eat. If I had taken my family here it would easily be $100 outing. So I look at the receipt to see if they put it down wrong instead of beef put chicken. That is not on there just says taco salad. Then I get to looking at the charges and it seems like there is a discrepancy in the amounts says total $17.85 but charged $18.56. I called to inquire about it. Well they charge a surcharge to use your card.

Charging a surcharge to use debit/credit cards is illegal according to Chapter 604A of the Business and Commerce Code. And each offense is punishable of up to $500. Unfortunately there would have to be a lawyer take up the case since the Attorney General will not take up cases for individuals.

I’m quite sure the owner knows what he is doing is wrong but is still overcharging on food as well as passing on his own business expense to the customers. I can get this same taco salad at any other restaurant outside of this town for 7.99 plus maybe 2.50 for a drink. Without a surcharge. I said last time I wouldn’t be back well this time is certain. I won’t be back…it’s just the principal of it. Debit card is the same as cash…should not chard a fee for that!

If you are craving REALLY GOOD food= Taco Jalisco is a definite must!
The menu is so extensive. Like, EVERYTHING IS ON THIS MENU.
My goal is to try something different on every visit. My husband and I have become weekly regulars.
They also serve breakfast until 11am
You really need to stop by, on your way to or from Freeport, Bryan beach, Quintana Beach, or 8th Street Pier. Easy access off Highway 36.
When I say THIS IS GOOD FOOD, Trust me, I’m very picky. Complimentary tortilla chips & home made salsa.
Some of our favorites:
Cheese enchiladas , Charro beans, Refried beans, Birria, Burrito Tejano, Street tacos, Fajita Quesadilla, Mexican plate( like a sampler), and so much more…too many to list. Just stop by. So you can find your favorite.
Oh, and did I mention = YUMMY sweet tea, that will make your grandmother jealous!!

You know there is a tex-mex or Mexican restaurant every mile here. Taco Jalisco was a huge surprise. My praise goes to the cook. It was really good, with depth of spice that authentic Mexican food is known for. Sure, we got other authentic Mexican restaurants in the area, but their food taste boring when comparing.
