I ordered three tacos – dealers choice. The white meat chicken was dry – not shocking. I couldn’t tell what was pork or beef. But that last taco was perfect. From a gringo that lived near the WTX border for 25 years seriously 75 miles to a stoplight, amazing taco!!!!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this business. Not only was my order made incorrectly, but when I politely brought the mistake to the owner’s attention, I was met with outright rudeness and disrespect. Instead of taking responsibility or attempting to fix the issue, the owner became defensive and unprofessional. Customer service matters, especially when a business makes an error, and unfortunately this place showed none. I will not be returning and do not recommend this business to anyone who expects basic courtesy and accountability.

Been going on a Mexican taco quest and decided to try this place. Ordered the asada tacos on a single corn tortilla. Was not expecting anymore than meat, onions and cilantro so I was a little surprised when I saw the tacos. When I took my first bite I was very impressed. This place is now my favorite. Lots of levels of flavor for what is normally a simple taco.

Best tacos in the area, wonderfully priced and sized. The staff is super friendly and you can taste the passion. Tried the chicken, pork, and Carne asada tacos with extras of all the veggies. Pork was our favorite and the salsa Verde is great!

I went at lunchtime and no crowds, the prices are good and I had enough food to last for dinner as well. Well worth it. The quesadilla was seasoned and juicy. The nachos were right on time. I will be going back soon.

DANG DELICIOUS! Sherman doesn’t have many places that stay open late for a quick bite, we just so happened to need to catch a late dinner, around 845pm. We pulled up to Hondumex and the “open” sign was off, but the nice lady was visible as were some customers outside. We asked if they were still open and she said yes…even though I think she had all intentions of those other customers being her last of the nignt. I’m so glad she said they were open, as it was our first time trying it. I got the nachos with bistek, i couldn’t believe when I opened my plate to see home made chips!!! Everything was seasoned perfectly, hot and tasty! My husband got the huarache, it’s basically a fried type of corn bread with toppings of your choice of meat, beans and lettuce and sour cream. He loved every bite. The green salsa was medium and tolerable which I loved. Overall it was a great choice. We will definitely go back.
