I was really impressed by the great customer service. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Food was great as well. Our table of 6 each ordered something different and there were no complaints! My Michilada was also perfect! I will definitely come back to try out more of what they have to offer.

This is a fantastic little gem of a restaurant. The atmosphere and the way everyone dressed gave an authentic vibe. The restaurant and bathroom were spotless clean.
The server and helpers were very attentive and kept our chips, salsa and drinks filled.
My wife and I shared a shrimp fajita. It was huge and delicious with a ton of tender shrimp and piles of grilled veggies. We could only finish about half and brought the rest home.
110% recommend folks try this place. Huge menu and great experience.

Regular visits, daily specials, the wait staff professional and Courteous. Food consistently delicious. Prices and portions are what you would expect at a quality Mexican restaurant. One of my favorites in AJ. I truly hope they can pull it back together.

We are new to the area and have dined at several Mexican restaurants within the past month- decided to try this place and we are so glad that we did! We were greeted with a smile when entering and seated right away. Both my husband and I appreciated the bright, festive decor of the restaurant. We were served tasty chips and salsa immediately after being seated and our server was there soon afterwards to take our drink orders (the Chilimoy margarita was delicious)! The menu offered an huge selection and we appreciated the photos/descriptions of the items. Our drinks arrived quickly and our food orders were taken promptly. Our food was out within ten minutes or so and it was piping hot and delicious! We were very pleased with the entire experience and plan to be return customers!

Huge menu! We decided on the #2 combo plate and fajitas mix. Dani our waitress was cute, fun and attentive. Festive atmosphere… I can’t wait to dig into the menu for more Mexican dishes!!

Coffee was smooth and could drink it black. Update 3/30/25 some staff speak mainly Spanish so it may be helpful to point to the item on the menu when ordering for accuracy. My friend’s cheese in her enchiladas wasn’t melted. They warmed that up again and got her a new one. She also said she could not really tell if there was tequila in her watermelon margarita. My food was good and accurate 3 taquitos.

We had heard good things about Elvira’s, but until today had not stopped in. They were wrong; it’s not good, it’s great!
The decor is fantastic. Lots and lots of hand painted seat backs, tables and wall art.
I made the mistake of ordering Elvira’s favorite. I realized my mistake when my meal was served on two plates. I immediately requested a to-go box, and went through the hard choice of what to eat at the restaurant. Included was a taco, and enchilada, a tostada, chili, beans, and rice.
I started on the chili. With a fork. Big chunks of savory meat in an excellent sauce. Then the taco, which had melted cheese on the outside of the shell. Like eating nachos and tacos at the same time. Excellent flavor on the meat, too.
The beans and rice were better than I normally get.
My wife ordered the mini-chimis. I tired a taste of one of them. It came with 6; 5 came home with us, since she was sampling my platters.
Our waitress was more than helpful in navigating the menu, and keeping our beverages topped off, which I appreciated, since the hot sauce was indeed ho. And tasty.
Kudos to the owners and staff. We’ll be back for sure!
