Taco Express in Queens is a fantastic spot for 100% halal Mexican food! We ordered the burrito bowls, and they were absolutely delicious. The taste was so authentic, with fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors. Plus, the portions were generous, and you can tell they take great pride in their food.

Taco Express is a great Mexican restaurant with a Chipotle-style setup. A must-try item is their chipotle sauce—it’s amazing. I always ask for extra sauce, and they give generous portions every time. The staff is friendly, and the customer service is consistently excellent. Even during busy times, they have plenty of employees to keep the line moving quickly.

My friend and I went to go get tacos and quesedillas from this place. It was her first time there and truly the workers were disappointing. Although their flavors were delicious, I could not force myself to give a 5star based off of flavors.
My friend had a hard time deciding what to put on her quesedilla, and instead of helping or recommend anything, the female employee who had the 7pm shift on Dec24th 2025, was super racist towards her. These people thought i couldn’t understand the language but basically she was telling her coworker that my friend doesnt know anything about quesedillas and shes dumb, my friend wanted shredded chicken on her quesedilla, and instead of explaining that the chicken will make it soggy, she got feisty with my girl and basically started yelling at her.
Mind you, my friend is Latina, so she knows her food and knows what works well and what doesnt, especially a halal establishment that replicates the foods from her culture.
That lady employee needs to be fired, if they talk about non desi customers like this i can only imagine how they handle their food. They dont realize theres other people that understand what they are saying and can hear their conversations. The presentation of the food was truly disappointing and messy. The quality over all is not fulfilling.
Id support any business that is respectful and instills the same values in the workers that represent that establishment. But this place needs to teach some manners to their employees. The females are rude and the men are creepy and will literally make s*xual remarks about other female customers in their language. PEOPLE UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE SAYING!!!!

A halal taco experience in the heart of little India on Hillside Avenue. A very clean and inviting interior with great customer service. Ordered their beef and chicken birria tacos and a side ordered of nachos smothered in salad and ground beef. The tacos were a bit on the small side, but if you are a salad aficionado, this will make up for it. The salad portions are pretty large.

The food was delicious . I order Mexican Burrito Bowl with steak. The meat was delicious.
And … the staff was really friendly, they were really welcoming and helpful in choosing best options for the order.
The indoor dining arrangement was also clean.
