Enticed by the fabulous smells coming out of the open door, a friend of mine and I stopped here for lunch. The menu is simple but interesting, kind of like fast food but not really. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff was extremely friendly. They did not have nachos which is my go-to dish, however, they said they could create a nacho like bowl with chips on the side. I chose to go meatless with black beans, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and rice. It was okay but something was missing. After my second bite I went up to the counter and literally said these are good but something is missing. The wonderful young man said try this and handed me a little plastic cup full of a creamy looking white sauce. I tentatively dipped a bit of my bean and veggie concoction into the dip and my taste buds exploded! Kudos to the creator of the white sauce as it was delicious! I dumped the whole little container over my veggie bowl, mixed it well, scooped some on a chip and pigged out! In addition to the excellent food, they have Huckleberry flavored bottled water!

First time at this location. Only the second time I’ve tried Taco del Sol and it’s still bland. The steak tastes like it’s canned meat and has no real flavor and is very salty. Quesadillas are made in the microwave ♀️ ♀️. I do like that they have cabbage as an option for toppings.

I have been coming here so much after meeting two amazing ladies cambree and Teyah. The food is amazing, the staff is amazing, and the interior is very clean. I would recommend taco del sol to anyone!

Came here after the market today for the first time. The food was awful. I took one bite and couldn’t stomach another one. I ordered the beef tacos and my boyfriend had the steak, his were just as bad. The two ladies working behind the counter were nice but super low energy and seemed to not want to be there. We asked if there was anything they could do for us because we couldn’t eat the food and they said there was nothing they could do. 40$ down the drain and left hungry. Would not recommend.
Edit- the store owner and I messaged privately and he was very kind and understanding of the situation. He offered us a refund and was accepting of the feedback. Thank you Dave for your hospitality it is greatly appreciated.

The quality of the food was good but the girl who made it didn’t wrap it well at all and it completely fell apart. She was rude and short with us. I asked if the medium sauce was somewhat like salsa and she gave me a look like that was a stupid question, went on for 30 seconds about how it is just medium sauce and then DIDNT give it to me. Had to go back up and ask for it, which she was clearly annoyed with and then proceeded to give me two cups filled about a quarter of the way. So if you come to Taco Del Sol, and the girl with the goofy nose ring is there, id recommend going somewhere else.

I used to really like this place – especially the fish burrito. I had one last night that was really bad. The breading on the fish was gooey mush and the fish itself was stiff and chewy (!?). The burrito is huge but ingredients badly distributed and mostly just mushy and bland. Sad.

My good friend and Missoula local Abby Eng recommend this place as she holds the record for the fastest time to ever eat a whole 14inch mission supreme burrito at just 2 minutes and 12 seconds! Incredible! A feat of ages that she holds very dear! The food was amazing and over all experience is just like my friend Abby. Very nice.

I love this joint for a quick bite while I’m working downtown. Staff is awesome, tacos are decent, and it’s been an institution for two decades.
My only issue is that the tip out options when I go to pay are set so low! Please just up them – with the cost of living going up so much in Missoula these days, let’s not screw the people cranking out yummy tacos!

Oh, gosh. Maybe just an off night. Fast but unfriendly service – no one else in restaurant. Fish tasted like cooked in stale oil. Tacos and burrito overstuffed with lettuce. Maybe a smear of guacamole? No taste for either, unfortunately.
