I ordered a Taco salad with Ground Beef thru UberEats as I was also picking up Phó Gabo next door.
I hadn’t eaten at Taco Del Mar in probably 10-12 years, as the last visit wasn’t very memorable in addition to the location being difficult to get in and out as it is located at a satellite pad in the corner of the Wal-Mart parking complex.
But it was delicious – I hadn’t thought about Taco Del Mar in years and saw it in UberEats and had to google where it was located – I saw it was next door to Phó Gabo (which we had only ordered for delivery with a UE promo that made it reasonable to have delivered- so in the future I will combine orders for pickup.
So glad I gave it a another try.

I ordered from their website on a Saturday night at 7:30 and when I arrived to pick up my order the restaurant was closed. I have called several times to try to get my money back and no one answers the phone.

I was so excited based on reviews but sadly was very disappointed. The restaurant was empty and the two employees moved at a snail’s pace. All of the food was stagnant and tepid at best. The queso tasted like nacho cheese from a can. The chips were stale. My friends said the fish tacos were good but my burrito was awful. And it was way too expensive for what I got.

Awful customer service. Was here last night for taco salad with chicken. Chubby girl with dark hair kind of snappy making my salad. After order done, chicken in salad was cold. Went to ask her if I could taste chicken in pots. She said no and refused. I wanted to know if temperature is up to standard. I don’t want to get sick. She took a taste from the spoon and then wanted to give me some! No, it was just in your mouth!!! She would not let me taste the chicken, said I had to buy it !! Crazy!! Yes, because it was cold and you knew it.!! Unbelievable. I won’t be back. Got my money back and will call the health department about their food practices. Learn food safety and health standards. Hope the owner sees this. Hire people who are qualified and care about serving food. Disgusted and won’t ever be back for this rude treatment and unsafe food! And none of the food was covered with lids, sloppy food handling. I should have left seeing this in the first place. Get rid of these horrible employees.

Terrible burrito and atrocious customer service. The staff is extremely rude, and they charge sky-high prices for drinks ($2.49 for one drink back in 2014). They’re absurdly reluctant to sell their lower-priced options. I ordered rice and beans twice, and both times they looked at me like I’ve grown a second head, then struggled to ring it up. I spent 10 minutes searching for the lower-priced options, but I’m pretty sure they don’t even exist. Plus, the woman behind the counter laughed like a hyena when I asked her about it.
They treat locals the same way. Avoid this chain at all costs.

What a disappointment this restaurant has become. Often only one employee working, and the line gets LONG! Used to eat here all the time with the original owners and it was great, when locations started closing and new ownership of this store took over a few years back things really took a slide. Owners family eating at a table with outside food they brought in and prepared right in the middle of workers making food for customers. Lots of light bulbs out, no background music, and filthy restroom. This location also doesn’t participate in rewards program like other locations. Waited in line 20 minutes today and the worker had only made two small orders in front of me, just awfully slow. I had to give up and left, and I can say I’ll never be back.

We stop at Taco Del Mar when on the road because the food is fresh and healthy, not just fast. its not knock your socks off delicious, just reliable and nutritious, which is all I really want from fast food. This location happens to be particularly good for us on a route take often. The staff is always friendly and efficient. We’ll be back.
